This is a great movie to display the 4K picture quality of your television. The picture is so clear, it feels as if you are in the movie. The sound will have you running for cover from the bullits. Highly recommended and makes just about everyone's list of top ten 4K movies.

Film aside, if you want this version you're getting it for the steelbook. The sharp black color on this one is prone to scratches so pick a nice copy from the store. The cover is sharp gloss black and not matte, and the colors inside the 1917 are gloss as well. Would recommend this one for your steelbook collection.

This is almost a solo "Saving Private Ryan set in WWI story", but adds the interesting Director decision to film it as one long continuous "take". Its quite an accomplishment (and obviously this was helped by seamless stitching in the editing booth), and it does keep things interesting and moving for the viewer.

This is the first movie that deals with the First World War in quite some time. It has been compared to Saving Private Ryan. Although it does contain a good deal of graphic violence as SPR they are both Great War films they are quite different. I highly recommend it.

I really enjoyed this movie. It was a really good plot to the movie and the special effects were great. It is unreal to see the sacrifices that these young solider went through. To find out that these were actual stories from the directories own family was nice. This is a movie that I have recommended to my friends.

So glad I picked this up this week! I love this movie so much, and the Steelbook is awesome too! I missed out on this Steelbook when it first came out, I’m glad I did because due to the Black Friday deals that Best Buy put out, I was able to get it for $ 14:99, instead of $ 30. Happy to have 1917 in the collection!

An incredible movie by director Sam Mendes. It has a phenomenal cast, an excellent script, and is quite the technological feat. The entire movie is edited as one shot and really makes the viewer feel as if they are on a journey with these two young men. The Steelbook itself is GORGEOUS and has a welcome place in anyone's collection.

This is one of the best new war movies i’ve seen in a while very impactful without being too violent. the cinematography was excellent as well. would’ve rather bought the 4k version but blu ray is all they had left. still great movie

Excellent movie! I been waiting for a good movie to watch and this movie delivered all the action and excitement a good movie does. Thanks to Best Buy I was able to purchase this movie at my local location. I recommend Best Buy for all your special holiday shopping. They have great deals as well as great movies!

Other than the fact that this is one of the greatest war movies I’ve seen in 20 years, it’s technical presentation is stellar. Reference quality 4K and HDR picture. Rich Dolby Atmos sound. I highly recommend seeing this movie on physical media because it’s not compressed like streaming movies are. The Steelbook is equally beautiful.

Great rendition in 4K of a modern classic. Sam Mendes resets the standard is this absolutely gripping point-of-view look of a brutal conflict. Beautifully framed and shot. This one will stay with you in the way a great movie should. Highly recommended to add this 4K version to your collection.

Fantastic cinematography... visually, the movie is stunning. The acting is quite good. Keeps you on the edge of your seat with tension. The sequences in which the two soldiers walking through the trenches was one my favorite moments, keeps you on the edge of your seat with tension. Enjoyed the story being told, worth a watch.

Craftsmanship permeates every frame of this masterpiece. The cinematography is moving, literally, as the entire film is shot as if it’s a single take. The performances and action propel the viewer’s interest along with the flowing camera movement. I really can’t say enough positive things about 1917. You really need to see it.

Some simply don’t get this movie, however I would call it a cinematic marvel. As in so many newer 4K movies, this has such fantastic visual detail. The battle moments are simply exhilarating. If you have a sub that can go deep, there are several moments that will shake your living space!

A great movie, and the 4K Blu-ray is exceptionally crisp and vibrant. There are some bonus features that look somewhat interesting, but aren’t really much of an addition. Only weird thing I saw was that the movie wouldn’t resume after being paused for a long time. I was able to stop and resume, though.

This movie makes me cry especially because it’s a true story!! Very well made!! Shows how much you would do to save your brother & a whole regimen of young men going into battle when it’s really a trap!! You push on no matter what!!!

This movie is one of the best that came out of 2019. The cinematography is spectacular and the story is gripping as it is touching. This is how history is meant to be learned and shared. I am not a history buff, but watching this movie has me appreciating history in a way no other movie has ever done. Do not miss this movie!

If you ever wanted to see what trench warfare was about -- see this movie. It was hell -- how those young men continued to live an fight in such conditions still bogle my mind. I have studied WWI for decades -- I believe this movie accurately and graphically shows what life was in those infernal trenches

I loved seeing this film on the big screen, so when it was released on 4k disc, I knew I had to have it. Flawless cinematography and an unreal editing make this a very tense experience. The 4k disc is impeccable and does complete justice to Roger Deakins' camera-work. A film I shall see again and again.

The way the movie was shot is amazing. once the camera focuses on the main characters it never leaves them. The plot itself feels like it was something that would happen anytime during war and they captured it perfectly. I think this is one of the best war movies I've seen and I'm glad I picked it up.
