One of the best movies I saw in 2020 (even though it's 2019 film, i saw it when it had it's wide release in January so I'm counting it as a 2020 movie). If would had been irritated if I didn't see this in theaters just from the One Shot Cinematography alone. Must Watch.

Beautifully shot movie that tells a fascinating story. The texhnique is different from most movies and is refreshing to see a movie about honor and brotherly love as opposed to a lot of the garbage coming out of Hollywood the last few years. Great war flick.

We will never know what it was like to be back in 1917, but those who served to fight for us....their stories are told through books and movies, but as one who knew someone who lived to tell it, the soldiers who fought were strong and cared and were not weak even knowing they were dying.

I was skeptical upon watching this film in theaters but then I heard nothing but great things about it and although I do love Nick Jonas as an actor as well as a singer I was happy to see that Best buy have this on sale for under $7 and blew right at that historical

This was a great war movie done in what appears to be one take. The 4K is very detailed throughout. I did not see any blocking or banding. It's not the loudest war movie, but the Atmos sound was effective when it needed to be. The steelbook has a nice gloss and title debossing.

This movie is one of the most beautifully shot films I have ever seen. From beginning to end, the action on screen keeps you engrossed. And the experience is only enhanced with Dolby Atmos surround sound and Dolby Vision 4K picture provides by this copy. Definitely worth every penny!

Harrowing story of two men with nothing more than a rifle and a bayonet assigned a near impossible task to warn fellow troops of a German trap...the film rolls at a rapid pace danger everywhere..but not so fast as to neglect character development...you will root for these two soldiers

If you are a fan of war movies, especially those based on true events, then this is a must see. You can’t help but put yourself in the situations that the characters are in, as if you were right there with them. This movie will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end.

I was taken aback by this film. For manyI'm sure it seemed a bit slow. Especially in comparison to so many heavily induced fighting war films. But if you know anything about this story, you would've known ahead of time. The picture and sound, are second to none!

So glad I was able to order it cause never got to theatre to see it. My grandfather at about age 17 served in Aargon forest in trenches in France. He never wanted to talk about it. Am here only because he survived and also survived Spanish flu pandemic. Bless his loving heart.

Great cinematography and storyline for World War I movie. The camera footage of the battlefield trenches was as if the viewers were actually there. Movie was well deserving for consideration for Best Picture Oscar @ the recent Academy Awards. Movie did capture some Oscar awards.

This was a blind buy purchase for me as a movie but judging by the awards and reviews, I was looking forward to a movie experience. The steelbook was beautifully done but it was the immersive audio experience that really drew me in. This was a reference level Dolby Atmos soundtrack.

I loved this movie and to have a nice steelbook to add to my growing collection is great. I do wish they would package the item better. But this did not come damaged so I consider myself lucky. Either way I’m glad Best Buy has been doing good with these steel books most of the time.

Perfect gift for a movie buff! Added to a collection already building and will continue to build. Best Buy always has good prices on Black Friday on their movies and a wide selection to chose from. Also, the "Best Buy only" Blu Rays are great and an added bonus

Based on stories passed on by Sam Mendes' grandfather, two young soldiers are tasked with delivering an important message that will stop 1,600 men from walking straight into a deadly trap. The movie was filmed as one shot from beginning to end, amazing behind the scenes features.

1917 is about two World War I soldiers (George MacKay and Dean-Charles Chapman) who are given a very important mission: travel across enemy territory and inform the leader of 1,600 of their brothers-in-arms that they're walking into a trap. This is an incredible piece of cinema!!!

The sheer exercise in shooting this film as if it were a continuous 2+ hour moment in time in the life of a soldier on a mission to deliver a message was in my opinion what made this movie one of the bests of the year... simply outstanding in its delivery.

I have collected steelbooks for a long while now. This is one of the best looking ones I have in my collection. The way the title stands out from the deep black is just gorgeous to look at. This steelbook is one I know any cinephile will be proud displaying for everyone to see.

This was a spectacular portrayal of an event in World War 1 based on some actual accounts. The 4K version of this movie and its SteelBook cover is a must for the collector.

What a movie! The story, the action, the cinematography. Hard to think of many war themed films that can pull you in from the beginning and hold your attention until the very end the way 1917 does. Add this 4K Steelbook to your collection while you still can.
