I initially saw this movie in the theater. Certain movies, historical and military, often hit my collection list. This was one. The movie "1917" was one of the top movies in 2019. This DVD was in 4K. The quality is excellent and a great one for my collection.

Outstanding film with cinematography that is top notch. The 4K image is crisp yet very film-like during all the action. The included special features are also very well done, especially those revolving around the technical achievements in filming the movie.

This is definitely a top 10 movie of 2020. The 4K version is an awesome upgrade of the movie. My OPPO player makes the most of this disc both visually and the audio is also spectacular, This movie is best experienced with a full blown home theater system.

This movie is a great movie with a wonderful and sad story during a horrible war. The cinematography and sound of this movie is fantastic, one of the best that I have seen and heard. This Movie in 4K is a must have for those that enjoy war movies and home theater enthusiast.

WW1 was a very difference situation than modern warfare. It was interesting seeing how the trench battles were fought. Movie also showed the importance of air surveillance. Though the movie would contain more action but my wife enjoyed that aspect. We both enjoyed the movie.

An absolute masterpiece of a movie. One of, if not the best war based film ever made. It’s amazing how almost the entire film is one continuous shot, it really brings you in and makes you part of the experience. 10/10

1917 is one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. The story draws you in and is very emotional at times. The cinematography is unlike anything that I’ve ever seen, following the characters with no cut scenes. Definitely recommend for history and war movie buffs.

Haven’t gotten to watch the film yet, but the quality of these films are amazing. I personally bought 3 other films along side those one because of the 4K - HDR - Blu-ray - Digital Copy that comes with the purchase

This was one of the best war movies I've seen. It's a different take than your traditional war movie, more slower paced with moments of action mixed in. Great storytelling. The simple design of the Steelbook is actually quite nice in person. Great all around package.

One of the greatest war movie Ever to be filmed! Buy it just for the cinematic shots. The production is well done... You will not be disappointed............

-An excellent story, in World War I, of two young British soldiers sent to warn a neighboring Battalion that their impending attack is in fact a trap. The settings were realistic, for the time. This movie was a good description of the type of warfare, at the time.

Great movie. I watched this movie last year for the first time from a Redbox DVD. I’ve got to say that watching in Blu Ray makes a whole world of difference. I really enjoy the long drawn out shots, makes the action feel more authentic.

This movie was good from start to finish. There is an explosion in this movie that will scare the hell out of you. Especially if you have a good sound system. You will know it when it happens. A little bit of a slow start but be patient is gets good.

Fantastic story, great direction and editing. Show off your home theater system with this 4K disc with stunning Dolby Vision picture quality and Dolby ATMOS immersive sound. You will enjoy repeated viewings.

Great movie, it can't compete with the likes of Saving Private Ryan, Platoon and Full Metal Jacket but it's definitely worth watching, with that being said it has phenomenal cinematography and the 4k transfer is great!

The 4K quality of this film was even more impressive than the movie was in the theater. Absolutely exceptional audio and the cinematography was highly impressive. Just a very well done movie.

High quality. Definitely better quality than same over streaming (4k ultra HD streaming vs 4k ultra HD disc ... and disc is clearly a better picture. Even my non-technical friends can see the difference

Out of this world sound quality on 4k disc. Streaming sound quality not even close. Nothing beats physical media uncompressed / lossless Dolby Atmos sound track with a proper setup at home. Too bad most people watch it with plain TV speakers.

Loved the movie. I am also a huge fan of Atmos and my theater is set up with 4 in ceiling speakers with surround, rear surround and wide speakers and loved the audio effects and experience of the movie in an Atmos system given the way it was filmed.

This is a Movie I was very excited to see as I didn't get a chance to see it in theaters. Worth the purchase as it is indeed on of the best epic and war movies ever. Very intense and engaging throughout. The way it was shot and presented was spectacular.
