After getting a 4K TV and a 4K Blu-Ray player, I wanted to experience a movie in 4K. I knew that the cinematography for this movie is excellent and it's even better in 4K!

Albeit 1917's filmmaking particularly points out itself, it's a surprising bit of filmmaking, depicting battle with colossal panache. This is big-screen bluster, to say the least.

Very good movie that follows one solders attempt to navigate enemy lines to deliver a general's message that could save thousands of troops lives.

My daughter and I saw this at the theater and wanted to see it again this movie will have you on your edge of your seat. Not disappointed on adding it to my collection worth seeing over again.

As far as war movies go, WWII takes center stage. WWI has always been fascinating for me to study, and am glad a movie came from that era. Great story, fabulous cast. Watch it!

Very good movie. I like the single long take that follows the main characters for most of the movie. Thought it was one of the best war movies I have seen in a very long time.

A good, solid viewing experience, holding your interest throughout the movie. I can't resist the worn out comparison to Saving Private Ryan - the plot is similar, though I think SPR is the better of the two movies. It's currently a great price for the Blue Ray + DVD package and the Blue Ray version played as expected.

A beautiful film about a horrible time. It was breath-taking to watch, and worth watching multiple times because of the cinematography alone. Acting was also first rate.

Awesome cinematography - it felt like you were in the era. It had the feeling to match real life film footage we've seen in various movies. Suspense filled moment to moment.

Loved this movie! It's amazing how they filmed this movie in one continuous camera motion. The story line is also great and was apparently based on an actual story told by a WW1 veteran.

Enjoyed the movie get a feel for how really stupid humans are when it comes to war. To think that we learned nothing from WWI that human beings did it again and where far more lethal in WWII.

If you’re a legit cinephile then you’ll love this film! It is easily one of the greats! Edge of your seat stuff and the picture and sound are exceptional! A must have in the collection!

1917 is a astounding war film which comes around once in a while telling a story of courage and duty. I love the plot and the actors put themselves into character.

Not the same style as most war movies,but this movie is great. The main actor does a great job at getting the emotion and pain of what he goes thru. The film looks fantastic.
