Do not buy. Cool idea, terrible execution. I’ll wait until they have a partnership with Bose or Beats by Dre.

Voices are tinny, or sound muffled. Absolutely no control over the balance and sound quality.

The TV sound is better. Roku does not make good sound bars.

Bought this for the TV in the bedroom. Wanted to get a Roku so that we could watch Hulu Live and Netflix in the bedroom. This speaker was perfect because it gave us the full capabilities of roku, while greatly improving the sound compared to our tinny sounding TV speakers. The sound from the speaker is actually really great for the price and all you get in the package. It was super easy to set up, was up and running in just a couple of minutes. Roku has the best interface of any other streaming devices, and the most comprehensive list of apps and streaming services that can be accessed in one ecosystem. The menu systems and loading is super snappy, and the search function with voice is top notch and best in the business. I would highly recommend this for anyone that wants to improve the sound for their TV and have the best streaming devise all in one.

This soundbar was very easy to connect and set up. So far (we've had it about 1 month) it sounds really good. I would have given it 5 stars, but there are no wall mount screws included. There is not even a size given for the screw that is needed. It just says that any generic wall mount bracket will work with it. Well, that is not true. We purchased one that came with 4mm x 10 screws, which are pretty ordinary. While this size worked in our other soundbar, they will not screw into this Roku soundbar. Seems to be the right width, but maybe the pitch is different? If any one has been lucky enough to figure what screws are needed for the 9101r soundbar, please let me know!!!

Incredible!!! The sound is OUTSTANDING, and all the audio options actually work! The bass is fantastic and the actual sound bar blends in wonderfully with my tv background show that it's nearly invisible. There are only two flaws in the entire system (1) the mute button is in a horrible location, my finger is constantly hitting it, so i had to tape over it with several layers of tape to keep from inadvertently hitting it (2) i wish the remote had bluetooth for the earbuds...but unfortunately its the old fashioned plug in...otherwise, this is a BRILLIANT product, worth every penny!!!!!

I just installed my soundbar yesterday and i think its loud and really nice sound! for the price its worth it. I have a 50 inch Onn Roku TV and it sounds louder than my TV. My TV has ARC HDMI so it was easy to set up. You have to use the HDMI cable it comes with the soundbar, it wont work if you use other hdmi cable. The HDMI ARC cable that comes with this soundbar it looks really thick, well made strong cable. I like that the sound bar it is long and well made.

Roku's Smart Soundbar is a great addition to one's tv watching experience...one power plug and one HDMI and it's set up, easy. The Bar allows control to over-all tv volume on any app...and the sound is amazing. the low end has been added to our entertainment without adding a subwoofer.

I'm not sure why there's so many negative reviews. The only complaint I have is it didn't work in my ARC output. My TV is a brand new Vizio quantum series. I had to use the optical cable instead included in the package. This soundbar has bass!! Don't get me wrong it's not equivalent to a subwoofer. But it's more than my TV ever put out. Tbh, I'm not used to having the bass at all so it's totally crazy for me. I can hear sounds on shows I watch all the time that were never there before with just my TV. It blows my mind how much I've missed out on before. Not to mention the added Roku service that comes with it. I was worried about my other HDMI services not working with the soundbar not using the Roku, but they totally do!!! I'm totally happy with this purchase, if you're wanting more bass get the subwoofer, otherwise it's perfect!!! Oh, I also bought a soundbar mount also bc my TV is mounted so it's placed under my TV. Awesome product!!

Easy to set up and great quality sound! Definitely worth the price

Roku makes excellent streaming devices and consolidated remotes - but their soundbar needs more work. I like the idea of combining streaming device with sound, but the frequency response in the mid and upper ranges was lacking. The result was muffled and muddy sound. No amount of control adjustment was able to help. You can buy better sound for less elsewhere and use it with your Roku streaming stick.

After looking at several reviews for this soundbar I deiced to go for it and buy it. I installed it without any issues but something seemed off, the sound quality wasn't all that great and I couldn't get to work quite right with my Alexa-- and then I remembered from the reviews I had watched earlier that there's a "Walmart version" of this soundbar (with a 'onn.' moniker) that it's not only less powerful but it also doesn't connect to Alexa or Google Home. So lo' and behold; after checking the model number on the box vs the model on the actual unit, I discovered that what I got was the Walmart version of the soundbar. This was further confirmed after I looked at the default name this device got on my Roku account as 'onn. Roku Smart Soundbar'. I quickly went back to the store to exchange it, thinking maybe this was just a single manufacturer error or someone had done something shady with a return. However, when I went to the store to exchange it, I made sure I checked the new device's model number on the unit (much to chagrin of the CS person helping me with the exchange) and again, it was the wrong model! It looks like Best Buy has gotten a bad batch of units with the wrong model, so beware!
