Poor service
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It’s hard enough to get an appointment to then get it canceled. There’s was no priority to reschedule. My closest Best Buy doesn’t do installations anymore and the website tells you to call or a visit instead of saying “This location no longer does installations.” The automated phone system barely works and picks up the sound of a sneezing ant, therefore, unable to utilize. I sad big corporation with poor customer service. Therefore, Best Buy is overrated. Makes you understand why to go to independent small businesses . This makes for a great Yelp review.

Late and poor expertise.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The appointment was from 8-12, and the Geek Squad substitute showed up around 2:30ish. He did not leave until 6:45ish after I asked him to leave so we could have dinner. He installed the bracket in the wrong place the first time, so there are extra holes in the wall. He did not look on the other side of the wall, so we have two huge holes in the medicine cabinet where he ran the electric cord thru. He was nice, but overall we had a four hour experience that was seven hours late. So glad we had nothing to do that day. Major disappointment. I will use an electronics vendor next time. They did a wonderful job on our other home.

Bad

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had to come in to get car speakers installed , they set me up with an appointment. I show up a week later for my appointment they didn’t have the right equipment to install they had to order it . Then they sent the order to wrong address then they set an appointment for another week out after that I get i the car 20 min before my install appointment they call and tell me I need to do upgrades on my battery and alternator and some other stuff for them install I’m like they could have told me this from the beginning it took 3 visits to figure this out yeah it sucked and I just didn’t even want to deal anymore

GEEK DOOR POLICY STUPID, NOT CUSTOMER FRIENDLY

THE STORE POLICY ON BACKDOOR IN STORE ENTRANCE WAS STUPID, 1) HAD TO WALK OUTSIDE TO COME IN THE STORE, 2) THEN MADE ME GO ALL THE WAY OUTSIDE TO AN OUTSIDE DOOR TO GET MY KEYS TO COMPLETE MY ORDER PROCESS, NO WAITING LOUNGE. BATHROOM JANITOR WOULD NOT LET ME ENTER EVEN AFTER INFORMING HIM I WAS A DIABETIC.

Installation car stereo

Yet I was still charged full price and left without a correct working radio in my car

Doesn’t work

The sub got moved maybe an inch while packing the trunk to go camping and the wires are now not connected and it won’t work anymore. Very disappointing. Please contact me.

Disappointed

After waiting a month to get in I had higher expectations. Parts for the entire installation were defective. We discussed the placement of items which were changed when I picked up my vehicle. Holes drilled and things installed in places not authorized or discussed. Lots of problems with the equipment (cameras). After I get out of the parking lot two of my speakers (not new) are blown. Good luck getting in touch with anyone to fix the speakers.

FAILED INSTALLATION
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I came to best buy specifically because I had another attempt prior of having my amp installed with sub. They failed too. The best buy initial install (from what I am told by another best buy employee (diff location) is that the system was put in backwards. And that he tapped into the front speakers which is giving me distortion .. Which is why I went back in the first place. But because It was installed erroneously, it also blew out my sub. Thank god Chris from west Los Angeles location is managing this the way customer service used to be back in the day. He means what he says and says what he means. He has taken the entire transaction and has been managing it like a well seasonsed bro.

Terrible experience

They torn up my radio and then wanted me to paid another $500 to fix it after I had just paid over $300 for a simple install. Terrible experience. Myself nor all the people I know will never use Best Buy again. Nothing but a big ripoff!!

You get what you pay for...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.You get what you pay for...make sure you take at least a half day off for an install. Chances are when they're "done" you'll drive your vehicle around the block and find things they screwed up. SO take it for a 20 minute drive and test all of your features before going home. This is the third time wev'e had audio installed that they installed incorrectly.
