Excellent Service
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The technician did a fantastic job. The amp sounds great, absolutely no problems encountered. I could have done the job myself, but it would have taken much longer.

Poor installation
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amp installation was bad experience. 1st attempt holes were drilled in back rest of my back seat of my suv to mount amp and wires were visible. Store manager made appointment for corrections. Appointment day came and guy in back said he was booked and he did not know anything about my situation. Store manager rescheduled my appointment. So I had to work around their schedule. 2nd appointment another guy told me he would need to reschedule me because he was booked. Store manager did make sure I was squeezed in 35 minutes later. Moved amp to under seat but guy could not figure out how to mount so I gave him permission to leave un-mounted since he did not know how to perform job. Speaker wires from speaker box to amp are still visible in cargo area. Cable running from battery to amp was forced through between rubber grommet and vehicle metal since the grommet the car dealer used to run their wires was only big enough to run theirs through. Amp installer should have found another routing instead of cutting corners and using existing one. An experienced installer should know that the sharp metal will cut into cable with vibrations of normal daily driving and cause possible short and that water will now get in from where he lifted grommet to squeeze cable through. This was my experience and maybe you will have better one. Just make sure you double check work before leaving.

Inconvenient Installation
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had two amps and a subwoofer installed in my car and everything went fine, the system works great and i couldn't be more pleased. The only thing thats wrong with the install is that the installers didn't consult me about where to put the amps, so they just assumed they would screw it into the back of my seats. Now i am no longer able to put down my rear seats for more space because there are two amps in the way.

Total tech member is a scam!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the total tech membership. It was suppose to include free installation and removal of equipment. I purchased the membership cause it was a great deal. Then they changed it. It no longer was free to install and removal. That is straight scamming customers into buying something and then changing the policies. BEST BUY DO BETTER!!!

Failed Install
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Failed amp installation and scratches left on new car. They detached the failed install and the stereo does not work the same before they brought it in. I was lied to. I basically got my car messed up for free. Now I have to pay a dealership to fix the issue. Also, I have to pay to get the failed install removed. Hopefully, I can talk to the manager to get this reimbursed but I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau.

Never pay Best Buy to install car audio equipment
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will never pay Best Buy to install car audio again. The technicians used cheap installation equipment, poor quality wiring and improperly tuned my amplifier which caused my subwoofers to blow. They ran the RCAs parallel with power wire, which caused a ground loop. I took it back to them to fix the ground Loop and they didn't help. Installation was so bad I was forced to go to the internet to understand more about what they did. The more I learned about what my audio system needs versus what Best Buy installed, the more I felt ripped off. My overall rating: negative one star.

Complete Package
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I paid for an amp and they said I needed a adapter for my Factory stereo,so I bought it and the Kw.Amp worked perfect and they Advised me I should consider getting a new radio and they would hook the amp up for free! I paid the 500 plus then I said I would wait to get the radio but when I bought the radio here I paid over $650 & parts totaling over $885 I brought it in and they didn't hook my amp up and they told me I would have to pay for them to hook it up to my system! My speakers do not have the same quality and I had to pay $250 more when they hooked up the radio! Check around before you take any installers word! Cause at the end of the day your stuck with the Finished product!

3 Trips and Nothing but a waste of time
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dismal experience. I bought this service for a relatively straightforward mono amp install in my 2020 Ridgeline. Tried to initially schedule this service via phone but for some reason you cannot speak to a human in the local store so I went to the store (Trip #1) and scheduled the install and paid the $. Showed up (Trip #2) for my appointment and tech says he cant do the install because he didnt have a long enough time window scheduled so I need to make another appointment. Closest time was about a month out. So I show up for my longer appointment (Trip #3) and decide to wait for the install. Waited in the store for ~ 2 hours. Go to the garage expecting to have the job done and tech says they could not figure out how to run the power wire through the vehicle firewall so I should just go the cust service and get a refund. So 3 trips and net result is nothing completed, just a giant waste of time. Don't these guys do research on vehicles before committing to the job? Don't waste your time, go see a pro.

Amp doesn't have power to it.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just had an amp and two subs installed only to find out the "autotech" messed up somewhere along the way. He told me my amp wasn't strong enough to power the subs but I know it is because I've had it all hooked up in a different vehicle. When I got home I checked it out, and there is no power ran to the amp, reason why the subs don't work. Very dissapointed and upset with having to pay $105.00 for a sound system that doesn't work.

Terrible! These guys don't know what they're doing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had an amp installation done on my 2012 Mazda 3. They hooked it up and sent me on my way and when on my way home I tried my amp out and it wouldn't work! The amp is on but it sounds blown and only gives me a little bit of sound. I have spent several days trying to figure out where they went wrong because when I took it back a few times they wouldn't help me out with it. Such terrible customer service and I'm unsatisfied that my speaker sounds like this! They tried telling me my cars speakers where too powerful and it wasn't letting the amp get enough power. They didn't give me a refund nor did they offer any other suggestions. Do NOT go here for an amp installation.

Had to bring the car back 5 times
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Brought my car in for a stereo install issue and left with more problems. I had to deal with 3 different agents and bring my car back 5 times. They hooked up my stereo, told me it might run hot and shut off because it was hooked up to 2 ohm instead of 4 ohm. I took it home and it blew up. Then i had to purchase another stereo from Best Buy. That is installed and working, but still sounds like crap.. i should have saved my time and money and gone to professionals.

Bad Install
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My install hasn't worked since day 1. Bass hits hard for about a minute and then stops working. Haven't had the time to take the car back but this weekend I decided to investigate myself. I pulled the carpet out of my trunk to access the factory amplifier and discovered that the installer cut the ends off my RCA cables and didn't even use the line output converter that I provided. I even paid extra for them to install that. Take a look at the picture to see for yourself. Crappiest install I've ever seen and I will never be going back to that store. Just going to cut my losses and fix this myself.
