I bought this specifically to be able to charge my tablets and phones without taking up my outlets. This adapter works perfectly and allows me to use my outlets and still charge two of my devices at the same time. Excellent product.

I purchased this item to get a way from the mess and hassle of finding my USB charger when ever my girlfriend annoyingly moves it from room to room and never returning it. It rated 2 amps so it will charge anything with a good cable; make sure you get a good cable. A lot of people don't realize a good quality cable make a big difference in battery recharging rate. Just think of the USB cable as a straw the smaller the straw the small amount of water can flow the larger the straw the more water. This is essentially the same thing from electricity. Very thin and cheaply made USB cables might not be rated for 2 amps so recharging was be as good with higher quality cables. I would recommend this product if you hate the bulkiness of having traditional wall chargers or want to keep it stationed in a certain spot. I have one next to my couch and my bed for my phones. Only gripe I would have about this is; if you plug in an appliance into the outlets and want to pull it back out, it also takes or pulls the entire Insignia outlet with it. I'm happy to report my relationship with my girlfriend has approved since getting this product since she no longer takes my charger into different rooms of my house. Thank you Insignia!

The USB charging port is very handy. Good product.

Now i can have 2 smartphones charging and can plug in another electrical device such as a lamp.
