Need for computer definitely just in case since mine seems to act up I can access this

I signed up for the protection plan ($179) but shouldn’t have. When my covered laptop broke, I turned it into geek squad for repairs only for them to charge me an additional $49 to tell me they couldn’t fix it! They did give me a giftcard for the value of the laptop but between the planner and repair fee that cost me almost the same amount, so it was pretty much a wash. I am very disappointed and feel lied to about what the protection plan covers.

I have not needed to use this service yet, but it proved most valuable in the past—quick, honest, and reliable service.

Good to have since my Chromebook is freezing up already.

We have purchased Geek Squad Protection on all of our electronics & appliances from Best Buy. They make it easy if something goes wrong.

The warranty that fixes everything that could go wrong, including the stuff you do.

The warranty was a good to have in case you needed it. We ended up not using the warrant but it was good to know we had it. Always good to have a back up warranty.

Haven’t had to utilize on this product but have had to use the Geek Squad with other products in the past, which proved to be very valuable to me as a consumer.

Read the fine print. If they decide, at their discretion, to replace the covered item, rather than repair it, they will issue you a store credit for the amount of the original purchase. However, the fine print states that in that case, their obligations for the extended waranty ar3 fully satisfied. Meaning, while you will get a store credit to buy a new device, your new device will not have the extended waranty. If you want that, you will need to pay for it again again. Basically in my case, i prepaid $309 to allow me to return my defective machine after the return period expired. I have a new machine, but i have no extended waranty, and less storage due to pricing and feature differences for in stock items. The terms stated in the simplified description are misleading and i do not recommend this service.

Absolutely necessary to buy if you're buying electronics

I purchased this protection plan based on the reviews I read on the laptop I recently purchased. I only gave 4 stars because I like the idea of what they’re selling & the protection but, I haven’t had to use it yet. If there’s ever an issue, I’ll be certain to share my experience.

The Geek squad was helpful guiding me with making the right choice for my warranty

We have not had to use the geek squad because the computer has not had any problems. But the knowledge that it is there if we need it is awesome.

Nice to have the backup of geek squad at your fingertips

Having some sort of warranty on products comes in handy.

Bought to cover my Lenovo Chromebook. Haven't had to use the protection but it's nice knowing I'm covered if anything should happen. Small price to pay for peace of mind.
