I get the protection plan on everything I bought at this store. It is too bad most of services are not available with the price being paid, extra. Very helpful service to those that need it.

Geek square took my computer just to fix the screen and it still to have tech issues due to it breaking. Worthless

Agents received our laptop in Aug. 2020 and we did not get back until Oct. 2020. Way too long to be without an essential product. When we received the device back it still was not operating appropriately and they were unable to further assist. Intermittent black screen, slow processing, and freezing. Product protected by Verizon Digital Secure. Haven't used it for months. I feel like I paid for the subscription and waited 3 months for nothing.

I know, if there is a problem, I can go to Geek Squad.

First time buying this product/service but does give you the peace of mind.

Horrible. Our apt was destroyed by a fire. Our laptop wasnt burned, however because the fireman sprayed water on it in the process of putting out the fire, its not covered. I spent almost $200 to insure a $440 laptop. I was told when I purchased it that if the laptop was damaged or the screen broken, it would be repaired and if it couldnt be repaired, then it'd be replaced. I was completely misinformed! Now they are telling me that it isnt covered as it is covered under my primary insurance. Problem is that I rent my apt and unfortunately did not have any renters insurance. It is absolutely ridiculous! I wish i had done my research! I could have insured it thru Worth Ave. Group for 3 yrs instead for a one time charge of $125 in addition to a $100 deductable. However you are allowed an unlimited number of claims and it covers everything from accidental damage to theft and loss, as well as fires or floods. I will never again buy insurance thru Geek Squad or Best Buy. In my opinion, thier insurance is over priced and worthless! I used to have a very high opinion of Best Buy & would recommend thier store and coverage to everyone but I have completely lost all respect for the store, Geek Squad and the laptop coverage! Seriously! From now on I recommend checking out Worth Ave. Group for coverage on all your electronics. Or anywhere else, in my opinion anyway, would have better insurance than this.
