hope i dont need it sny time soon to expensive for me

I attempted to chat with an agent about if my charger for my new laptop (less than 30 days old) was covered and got very snide responses to every question. I was first told it wasn't covered, then repeatedly told to contact the manufacturer, and given incorrect information on best buys return policy. Would be happy to provide screen shots of the conversation .

Technicians that come out are great and work is complete

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had in my entire life with any kind of customer service at all! Not only was I sold on this service and completely given 100% inaccurate information. I then proceeded to bring my computer in after only owning it for a few months because the microphone and speaker drivers are just automatically disabling themselves and there were problems with the screen settings. I was unfortunately told everything the previous salesman “sold” me on was 1000% inaccurate. I cried in the store because I wanted to take my work computer for two weeks to do troubleshooting... when I only have that 1 computer, I live alone and I work from home. I also spend most of my day on Teams and it was imperative that these features worked. It was a brand new computer and all they wanted me to do is send it back to the factory or have it looked at for two weeks but that was not an option for me and then I’d already been there for 2 1/2 hours after having multiple appointments... The employee at Best Buy is really to blame and as a matter fact you should probably look up my receipt and find out who it was and fire them because they are an absolute liar I almost found like a person in the store that day I was so upset and I wanted them to come talk to the manager and I want them to tell them to their face what he said to me so that they could then teach their employee that they don’t know what the heck they’re talking about because they obviously weren’t trained. I somehow got suckered again because I needed a TV and I can’t even start that whole issue but it was the last time I will deal with Best Buy. At least for major electronics. I cannot have that. I run a business.

Extended warranty- it’s for protection in the future/ hopefully we don’t need it
