Geek squad sent out my device to Kentucky for repair. They received it on July 2 and it has not been repaired or assigned to an agent yet, even though the parts that need to be replaced are in stock. It has not moved since July 2. I called the geek squad number and they said that they would send me an email on the status. I have yet to receive it. Yesterday I went into the Walden Galleria store and spoke to the manager. He told me he did not know what the hold up is, even though the parts are in stock. He told me he would check on it and call me to let me know what was going on, but I have heard nothing yet. No phone call or email. Either fix the laptop or give me a new one! I had spent a lot of money for a warranty and this laptop, entrusting geek squad for quick repair. Not happy with this service right now! It is now July 21 and without a laptop.

Not enough space or speed good computer for a kid I should have bought a different one for my needs

I made the mistake of spilling hot chocolate in my laptop while working. When I went to Best Buy in a complete panic, I was greeted with a ticked off tech, as if I should have had an appointment for an accident. This isn't like it was a toy, but a machine I use to work!!! Then, the manager was a complete jerk and told me I needed to have it professionally cleaned because it was a biohazard. This was after 45 minutes of them just trying to get me out of the shop to not have to deal with me. The manager tried to further intimidate us by speaking with the LP person at the entrance, as if we were some kind of threat?! I hope Best Buy goes out of business because this kind of service is unacceptable. Oh, and let's not forget the manager also told us he could do anything he wanted outside of the stated warranty because he's the manager. Forget contract law....he is the be all and end all. I suggest you buy you electronics from any other firm that cares about their customers and their needed work devices, as well as the associated protection contracts.

Knoxville geek squad were rude when it came to exchanging a laptop that wasn't functioning properly

I purchased the 3 year accidental Geek squad protection. Since the laptop was inexpensive, the protection was too. But it cost almost as much as the laptop. It's a good deal because you never know what will happen with laptops, even if they never leave the desk area.

I would definitely buy again. Good price especially when on sale

Usually do not buy the warranty, but figured I should onbthis one as I bought a high end tv. Hopefully I will never need it, but good peace of mind. Pricey items should come with a longer manufacturer warranty.

Purchased this for the first laptop I purchased. It has been in repair for over 5 weeks. No updates, no calls. When I call them they act as if I am bothering them. No text updates, no nothing VERY BAD PRODUCT AND SERVICE.

It's always great to have a back up plan. This is my backup plan.
