    Covered fixing laptop but not the part they fixed. Fixed lap top then couple months later same problem but no coverage for the part and laptop was out of warranty at that time

    Laptop was less than a year old and was sent in for corner crack in screen. Was told not able to repair. Was given an instore credit for 2/3 of what the product cost and nothing was ever mentioned about the extended warranty purchased.

    At this point at least 12 man hours have been spent attempting to get to the correct person to resolve how to even use a protection plan issue. As this letter is being typed, the other customer who had been on the phone with agents for nealry 45 minutes was transferred back to the start menu! A full week ago, we had gone through this before and were told a box to ship our laptop to the nearest store was being sent. It never arrived and agents looking at the account clearly do not see notes about it. The product (laptop) only worked for 2 weeks before it broke. It has been 2 weeks since then and this customer is still unable to get it repaired. We missed the deadline for a full refund, should have called sooner. We now have to drive 344 miles and cross a toll bridge for a repair. This will take at least 2 days of man hours on the customers end. Clearly, as customers, our time is worth negative money. We are loosing so much time and money dealing with this issue, that we have lost money by purchasing this plan. Please do not put yourself in this situation. If you do not live near a Best Buy, you can not use their repair plan.

    You have to pay an ADDITIONAL $100 for data backup when you use this [this should be included!!!]. I had to use this because my son's Dell died after 14 months. Yes, they refunded me, but the refund was for the original price and not the cost to replace the item at today's costs, plus you lose the $300 you paid for this warranty. It's still better than losing it all but I feel it could be much better.

    Not a fan of this peace at mind they sale you. I had a repair done on my daughters gaming laptop (the repair was for the screen not the battery.) when we got it back we plugged it in worked great okay awesome. Well she leaves it plugged in normally but one day we wanted to have a bring your system in the living room family gaming night she unplugged it and it shut off it would not turn back on. Unless the power cord was plugged in. took it back asap it happed to be the posted date it”expired”. they said it was already expired and I’m out of luck unless I wanted to pay their repair prices.I called the customer service line they seemed to careless. It’s my fault for not checking their work that’s why I say there is no peace at mind in it. I have 8 kids so I would normally buy the protection plan but not anymore no thank you.

    More expensive than needs to be and is very deceptive. Apparently you CAN extend the warranty on a laptop through the manufacturer (ie: HP, Dell)

    Have not had to use this yet, but then do I want too? Kind of a gamble on the product if you don't purchase it so what does that say about our consumer confidence.

    I haven't used this, but it does give me some peace of mind since my original laptop that I purchased direct from HP was dead on arrival.

    terrible service getting the replacement from the warranty. Just received an email that die to the delay they will likely just cancel it which puts us out a computer even though we purchased the warranty

    I expect more from a name like Geek Squad but over the years, this service has become less impressive. It's always such a mission to get anything done in a convenient or timely manner. The customer service is often abysmal and during the pandemic this was altogether useless. Unless you get a full new replacement, this a kind of a pain to bother with.

    Don’t really need the protection plan for a year because it’s not worth it, but it maybe if you get the 3 year plan

    Thank fully haven't had to use the protection. Bought as an insurance policy. I know from past experiences that the Geek Squad support and packages are hit or miss...

    it's worth it if you have an issue within the 2 years but NOTE that they will NOT let you Add On coverage later
