It is a good option for a basic laptop. Good starter laptop

When purchased I was led to believe that my laptop was fully covered. However does not covered problems caused by software

Just didn’t need it as much as I thought I would and they could repair my MacBook

This plan doesn’t cover didly squat! I literally made a recent purchased an HP laptop and figured that I would be covered for software/hardware unforeseen warehouse issues. I made the purchase 9/6/21 for classes. I literally downloaded zoom and windows and the microphone is faulty after multiple updates. Following bringing the device in store I was told I would have to pay an additional $200+ to fix a possible software issue that may require a hard reset which may/may not work. Really!?! I just purchased this device, paid for a warranty and y’all want more money? What in the world is the so-called warranty for. That said, this is the 3rd computer I’ve purchased from BB Clw, other 2 devices no issues. No manager support or customer loyalty. Warranty is as good as monopoly money.

Sent the unit back due to a defective power button. Wasn't interested in using this; it wasn't all that great.

Always good to make sure you get INS. but i wish they were included sometimes over a certain amount spent. Sure I'm not the only one who thinks it.

While I never had any issues during my first year as a GeekSquad customer I expected to be able to renew the service. Unfortunately I was not and now may have to pay out of pocket for technical issues with the computer I bought the service plan for in the first place.

This is great service and great to at least have for unexpected it situations. So far I have no issues or encountered bad experience yet.

I purchased this just to make sure but I feel like I did not needed since I never got to use it and it was just money invested in something else that I didn’t need

Good service, the only downside is that we have to send the computer back to the repair facility - 3 weeks without it

This protection is a scam! My laptop broke, Geek Squad service failed to fix it, Best Buy refused to provide same model replacement, because it cost more now. I was issued the discounted price of the laptop back to store credit, that is not enough to buy same laptop in Best Buy now, and I lost $200 that I paid for 3 years of Geek Squad service!

I honestly should’ve known better not to but this protection for my laptop. If you take care of your electronics and know that you won’t break it in any accidental way, don’t let them convince you with their whole “better safe that sorry” talk. If you’re worried about any long term defects down the road, register the manufacturer warranty. Only buy it if you know you are prone to breaking your electronics and don’t take proper care of it at all.

I purchased this protection for my Dell laptop purchase. I used it last year when my trackpad failed. They fixed one problem but created another problem when I could not cut & pace. I had to use this service again. Point being. They should check their work before returning the device as fixed.

Kind of irritated I bought two years of this protection when ASUS provides damage and spill protection free for the first year.

Worked ok for when i needed it. Good investment. ssok.

I haven't had to use it yet, but it does offer peace of mind.

I bought 3 chromebooks and 3 warrantys on line in November. We live in a remote area and the closest best buy is 3 hours away. One of the hinges broke on the chromebook and I was told the only way it could be fixed is if I bring it to the store. I bought it online because I do not live near a store. So basically I bought 3 warrantys totalling a little over 130 dollars and they do me no good unless I drive 6 hours round trip to drop of the chrome book. Biggest joke ever will never shop best buy again.

They are good at trying to figure out and fix things. I bought the wrong thing, but have used it several times and feel good value for price.

Although I didn’t use the geek squad service l, it can be beneficial to those that run into technical problems often.
