To much money for one year

Up front Best Buy will bend over backwards and promise you everything with this protection plan but when it comes to actually getting help they give you attitude, a hard time, and makes it seem like they don’t have time to help you. It’s like you have to beg for their time as if you didn’t just pay $200+ for the protection plan. NOT WORTH IT

VERY POOR SERVICE and RUDE!

Finally when approved, had to go to the store to get the refund and the representative at the counter was extremely rude! Told me the insurance was used up because the cost was higher than the premium. I asked what if it had been repaired and he just shrugged his shoulders and told me there is a supply chain shortage, haven't you heard about all the ships waiting to off load their merchandise? There's a shortage so we can't help you. You're lucky we are giving your money back! Unbelievable! Where was this guy trained?

Unable to use

We had it sent to a store near my daughters college for pickup once fixed. Only worked for a little while after and then was never able to turn on again. We were told we are now outside of warranty. Purchased 08/2018 and had a 2 yr accidental protection.

DO NOT BUY unless you live next to a Best Buy

DO NOT PURCHASE if you do not live near a Best Buy location and are positive it will not close. My nearest Best Buy location was about 2 hours away...but that one closed making the next closest location an almost 4 hour one-way trip. You MUST do repair drop-off in-person and, if they decide the device will not be repaired but exchanged for a store credit, you HAVE to return IN-PERSON to finialize thie credit..you can't do it on the phone, you can't do it via email, you can't do it online...even if you initially purchased the item online. Best Buy, please visit your policies in this matter. I've lost hours on the phone trying to work out a solution and now I've lost the price of my device and this extra protection.

Horrible laptop very slow the first time using it

As soon as I powered it on it ran really slow , and gave me the not responding message when trying to go on the internet . Nothing would load . That is ridiculous for it to be the first time I turned the laptop on. I would not recommended at all . The computer did not work . The restarting even took a while . Poorly made.

Awful Experience
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Geek Squad team at the Montrose, Oh store is ineffective, they lack knowledge in common sense setup for laptops. They had to re-do our TWO computers twice. They sent us home with a computer that we bought that had a damaged hard drive and they admitted they knew. After exchanging it for another one, they sent us home with a password on the device that kept the computer provisioned for the store demo. It was ridiculous the hours and meetings we had to have with them to get resolution. I won’t buy Geek Squad EVER again.

ended up cancelling

Unauthorized renewal charge $69.99

I did not give permission to renew or charge my credit card. This is not the first time I've gotten charges from the Geek Squad. I now have to dispute this charge with my credit card company.

Mixed feelings
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used geek squad before in the past and they have done phenomenal work, only thing is I just bought a computer not too long ago and got the 2 year plan, yet it seems that the only proof I have is carrying the receipt around. I know I am going to lose it within 2 years, don't understand how they cannot seem to find it by using my best buy credit card I signed up for or have it attached to my account.
