Screen Tearing issue. I ran into issues trying to watch 4k. I thought it was just a faulty computer, so I returned it and got it replaced. The second had the same issues. If i purchase a computer that says it has 4k resolution, I should expect a 4k video to be easy to do. Except I was getting screen tearing all the way to 1080p. The only thing nice about the computer was the aluminum body, and colors. Sure the picture is great, but video is awful.

Very fast, reliable, works great for my karaoke business and was a great price.

I'm sure that you could mention some degree of user ignorance in this, but what the description of this item absolutely fails to mention is that this device is 100% useless without internet connection/connectivity. I made the purchase so I could have an inexpensive laptop for my presentations on board the ship I work on, but - oh boy - was I clueless about this laptop. I thought that, just like all other portable computers I've owned all my life, I wouldn't need the internet unless I needed to surf the web. However, unlike 100% of the portable laptops I've owned, I quickly found out that, unless this is connected to the web, you can't even sign into it, let alone open up PowerPoint slides, let alone everything else. What a joke.

So sad that my laptop stopped working a week and a half after my 2 year Geek Squad protection plan expired. Geek Squad is currently working on my laptop, I hope it can be fixed.

I love this laptop, and hate it. It arrived in a damp box, never a good sign. It also arrived late. I was cautious but happy when everything booted up. The sad part came when I noticed the network was extremely slow. Long story short, upon doing a fresh install the network disappeared. I don't know if the board got wet, seems odd since everything else is flawless. Not sure what the deal is with the network. I need this for writing, so rather than going through the pains of returning in the damp box in which it arrived I purchased a USB network adapter. It brought the cost of the laptop up from Good Deal to it's okay. I would recommend this if you can buy it in store, but do not order it delivered. Too many variable to blame Best Buy or ASUS, but one of them screwed up.

Great laptop , you do need to play with yhe settings to control the heat

I called the local store at 10:39 am (3/22) and spoke with Yolanda, who said she was not at the store, but from corporate and was immediately dismissive of my situation. I explained that my ankle was broken in multiple places, my computer was damaged in the fall, and I had purchased a new computer from the store that I needed today for work. Unfortunately, she was quite unhelpful. When I mentioned that someone was coming to pick up the computer, she insisted that I needed to add them as an authorized pickup person. I explained that I couldn’t figure out how to do that and needed alternatives, Instead of assisting me, she focused on explaining why she couldn’t help. She said it was more important that I understand “why” than to receive info on how to get my computer today, that I already paid for. When I expressed that I simply wanted assistance, she responded by stating that I would have to cancel my order and that I would have to wait until Thursday (6 days). I live 6 minutes from the store I bought it from. Feeling uncomfortable with our interaction, I asked to speak with someone else. Yolanda insisted that she was in charge and that no one else could assist me, as she was the only one in that position. After much frustration, I finally managed to figure it out and requested to speak with someone from the "Geek Squad." However, she again claimed that was also her department. After some persistence, she finally transferred me. The experience was incredibly frustrating and left me in tears, with my heart racing. It’s essential to have alternative contacts available for customers who wish to speak with someone else.

Computer has worked well past its prime. Still continues to work effectively and thanks to the Geek Squad they have assisted with keeping it updated.

Been having the laptop for years and its great. Only thing i would say is it definitely overheats but overall glad with the purchase
