Online says 14 inch. It seems a little small so I measured it. It measured 12 inches. Model number matches so something isn’t correct.

    No help at all

I have been trying for hours to buy the GeeqSquad protection plan but no one wants to help me. Everyone is just passing me to a different person or number and I am going circles. If this is the same support I would get when there is an actual problem then I don't want it. Every single person I have been in contact with is from India and didn't have the slightest knowledge to help me in my simple case. Would not recommend

    2nd Laptop Samsung Book4 Pro360 Poor Support.

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This is the 2nd Samsung Book 4 Pro 360 I bought from Best Buy in 1 month. Both had problems with the camera, or rather no camera video. Since it was over 2 weeks old, it could not be returned at Best Buy. Geek Squad could not fix it either. I'm now dealing with Samsung who requires it to be sent to them for repair. 2 brand new Best Buy laptops, both with the same problem. Coincidence or an inferior product? How about Best Buy replacing the laptop again? I've paid someone to transfer my data twice, and soon to be a 3rd time. It's quite frustrating for a top of the line laptop.

I will start with if there is a choice for no star at all i will do it ,Absolutely worst service! I purchased many times with this store only to find out it was the worst decision I made! When we first purchased the warranty we were told it was totally covered. When we asked for a pamphlet to see what was covered, they said "Don't even worry about it. Everything is covered." Mind you, we were told this by two different sales people. Now, that we need the service it is being denied. So we went back to ask ANOTHER sales person and he said "That's weird. It should be covered. That doesn't make sense." When we take it to the manager of Best Buy and a Geek Squad member we are being told we are supposed to know it wouldn't be covered before we even bought the product or warranty. How are we supposed to know about it?! We are not experts! So the only way we would know about it is when we get denied, and then they explain it to us. When I purchase a product and I'm promised a service, I expect that service to be provided. We are being promised a service at the time of sale and only finding out when it is denied that it isn't true. ABSOLUTE SCAM! My family, friends, and I will be taking our service elsewhere.

Think twice before buy extended warranty!

I'm completely dissatisfied with the BestBuy protection plan. I do not recommend it. I have taken our Chromebook to BestBuy 3 times to have it repaired only to have it malfunction and the same issues reappear. The protection plan I was offered by the Best Buy Agent included a refund of the purchase price if they were not able to successfully repair the chromebook during the warranty. Now that it's been repaired for the 3rd time, my warranty is cancelled by Best Buy since they no longer can guarantee the item will not break between now and the end of the warrantee. This is not what I signed up for when I purchased an extended warranty at more than half the price of the chromebook. I thought I was getting a quality product that would not breakdown within 2years and the backing up by a trusted company like BestBuy. How did I know that neither the chromebook nor BestBuy could be trusted. Once bitten, twice shy. Three times it's on me.

    GeekSquadProtection-ADH PLAN DOESNT WORK

Not going to say to much only because still not resolved. Was told that the insurance/gsp-adh i purchased after being asked, on pin pad if i want.does not repair or replace Surface Go 3. The thing that gets me is i took the surface back less then 48hrs after making the purchase of gsp and surface go 3. Even store employees said it only repairs or replaces certain items, and was told if i dont do return i will end up losing more money. After speaking to geek squad at 800-433-5778 they said that the store is not telling me the the whole story th,the item is replaceable and to go back up to the store. After going back to the store was told by employees at the best buy location that the geeksquad call center is wrong, after asking to speak to the geeksquad supervisor they said they don't have one. Call geeksquad call center back and then was told to write informal 60 day dispute notice to a email for arbitration @bestbuy. If anyone that comes across this review and agree please give shout out and like thank you. I will keep this review updated.

best buy canceled my protection plan

In November 2021, I acquired a Samsung Galaxy Book Flex2 Alpha and secured it with a 3-Year Accidental Geek Squad Protection Plan, anticipating it would be protected until November 2024. The most recent repair took place in November 2023 due to a malfunction, and I received my computer back in December 2023 after it was sent off for repair. However, by February 2024, my computer malfunctioned again. Upon seeking assistance at Best Buy, I was unexpectedly informed that my protection plan had been terminated without a clear reason. They advised me to contact their support line at the provided 1800 number. With 9 months of coverage remaining, this situation contradicts Best Buy's initial commitment, leaving me with unfulfilled promises.

Horrible shipping if they used on track.

I ordered this laptop in excellent used condition. First of all, it took them four days to shift the laptop to me. Secondly, the laptop didn't arrive until thirty minutes before eight p m.I sat home all day waiting for this delivery. And last but not least, the laptop arrived broken. The delivery company is called on track. They just threw the laptop into my yard, and they did not require a signature, as I was told it was going to be. If I didn't hear the laptop hit the ground.I would have never known it was delivered.

The battery doesn't last longer. As soon as you charge it, within 2h of using time it will already show 40% remaining. Not as expected in terms of battery life.

Broken Wifi Card, Weak Battery, and a Hot Mess

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I ran into several issues with this laptop. The first is the worst, and that was the Wifi card. I keep losing my internet connection every 2-3 minutes, and I can only fix it temporarily by going into the Network Settings and using the Windows troubleshooter. This cycle keeps on repeating though, making it virtually impossible to get any work or gaming done. The battery life is also lower than I had hoped. Even with casual use, and no gaming, it still drains somewhat fast. This laptop also tends to get very hot, as the fans will often turn on randomly, even with no gaming occurring. I also experienced many issues with Windows 11 on this laptop, but they may be attributed to Windows 11 only, so I'm not too sure. The laptop wouldn't turn on after sleeping though, and there would be frequent frame glitching. Overall, I've been very disappointed with this laptop, and even on sale, it wasn't worth it. I'll be returning this laptop and buying a different brand. 1. Battery life - It's not terrible, but it drains faster than I had hoped, even with just casual use. 2. Heat - This tends to get pretty hot, and the fans will turn on randomly sometimes, even when not running any games. 3. Wifi Card - I believe that my wifi card is most likely defective, as it keeps losing internet every 2-3 minutes, and I have to go into the network settings to get it fixed. This makes it virtually impossible to get any real work done, so I'll be returning this laptop and purchasing a different brand. Overall, I'd avoid this one

Not worth paying for more than one year.

Read the fine print. If you pay for a 3 year plan and they have to replace your device they “fulfilled their obligation” and the protection does not roll over to the replacement device. That should be in bigger print. So I paid for 3 years and have to eat the extra money I paid. That is ridiculous. I could have paid for one if I would have know that.

Beware of Promises of Best Buy Sales Team

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Salesmen made big promises to me in June when I spent $5K on tv and sound system equipment which I paid for in full upon receipt of my first bill. Geek Squad has cancelled on me multiple times or just did not show up. Bethel Park PA store manager has been non-responsive to my email and telephone call. Covid as an excuse can be used only so many times. I still am waiting for my universal remote control to be programmed so that I can use my zone 2 sound system. Salesmen promised that Geek Squad would educate me with my systems. Salesmen will not answer my emails, texts, or telephone calls. The customer service representative at the corporate office took my report and said she would help me but that promise has failed as well. My next appointment is supposedly scheduled for the first week of January. Seven months is too long to wait for a fully operational sound system that has been paid for in full.

    Broke My Laptop Beyond Repair

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Bought a 2-year warranty. Near the last few months, my laptop had a very small loose hinge issue. All they had to do was fix the hinge. Instead they removed my SSD (and did not return it), broke the webcam and mic, went through my PERSONAL files, destroyed the speakers, and the final attempt to fix it they busted the screws so bad that it was no longer possible to reopen the laptop for repairs. The laptop was sent out 3 times. Each time more things were wrong when they returned it. This was a perfectly functioning gaming laptop with a loose hinge and they destroyed it. They then would not let me take my laptop and recredited the amount I paid not including the $200 spent on the warranty that I used to destroy my laptop. Definitely do NOT use them and dont bother wasting your money on a warranty.

    Scam

Incredibly disappointed. Purchased a protection plan for my cell phone, when I tried to use a year later was informed about the 160 dollar "service fee", which was in the small print of the receipt. Pay for a protection plan and then pay to fix the phone? What exactly am I paying for when I pay the cost of the protection plan? Well, I paid the service fee and when I received a replacement phone, it was not fully unlocked and as of this review have not been able to use it.

    Waste of money and time

I bought the three year protection for my laptop and a few months ago I went in for a repair. They got my information wrong and I didn’t hear anything for a month. Then after calling and finally getting ahold of someone they got the right information and finally sent it out for repair. Another month goes by and I still haven’t heard anything from them. I call them again and after hours of calling different numbers and waiting I finally got a hold of someone who told me that my laptop couldn’t be repaired. I went into the store after that and they gave me a $200 gift card after having paid nearly $900 for the laptop plus the protection. The employees were rude and never seemed to care. I’m a full time college student and this whole experience really didn’t help since classes are starting back up.

Buyer Beware of Refurbished Computers at Best Buy

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

When looking at new computers, was told by the sales person that "refurbished" computers were just ones returned by the customer and "refurbished" by the manufacturer and then resold with a full warranty. Ordered the Dell Latitude 7250 for $339.99 because it was the size we wanted. The computer seemed to work fine, but we had some issues with Microsoft account. Could not get a real person at Microsoft so tried to call Dell for technical support. Dell informed us using the service tag that the "warranty" was no longer valid since the computer serial number showed the computer was over 7 years old. We then noticed from the documentation that came with the computer that it was not refurbished by Dell but some 3rd party company who refurbishes computers and sells them thru Best Buy. It had a 1 year warranty thru that company but was still a 7+ year old computer for $339.99. Would never pay that much money for a computer that was over 7 years old. Feel this is deceptive of Best Buy to not disclose the age of the "refurbished" products.
