    Decent price? I guess so. Brother got it for his laptop. Hopefully if he needs it there won't be any problems using this.

    In this situation couldn't fix my Chromebook that I purchased the service for without paying for more updates that cost more than the original order.. Usually I'd give Geek Squad a 5 star review, I guess it was just circumstances.

    They really tried to help over several days, but were unable to fix the problem and blamed the problem on the computer. Called my IT friend that then fixed the problem in less than 15 minutes.

    i bought a laptop online on june 18. Protection was activated june 19. I still do not have the laptop. It is supposed to be here june 29. I think the protection should start at the time of delivery, not purchase. Typical best buy games they play. I only bought yhe laptop thru them because it was a better deal than i found rlsewhere. i know its only 10 days so far but that is 10 days of coverage for a product i do not have yet.

    When I originally got protection for my device it was indicated that "if anything happens" I would be available for the same device with no hassle. Nope. Device USB port went out and then the sound hardware all in first year of ownership, I'm told that the device has to be mailed off for review and to get all information off what I use as my primary work device. No loaner or anything. Waste of money.

    I returned this with the laptop that quit on us it was a open-box so you get what you pay for rite. I chose total tech over repurchasing this & im glad i did. Sooooo many great benefits too with TT that this just doesn't even compare! Its a little pricy but pays for itself fast. Its still geek squad just with better service for us for a change !!

    What's the point of paying monthly if they won't replace unless you pay in full. Might as well buy a new phone.

    Typical extended warranty protection. I haven't had to use it yet but the peace of mind is always there

    I purchased a $2000+ HP laptop with 3 year Geek Squad protection plan. My laptop was damaged around a year into the ownership. Best buy sent the laptop off for evaluation and a month later, i'm still waiting for either the laptop to be replaced or repaired (No communication). I work overseas so I had to spend another $2300 to purchase another as I cannot complete my work without a laptop. I expect a lot more out of the $350 i spent on the plan and the promises made during the purchase.

    Better to Find a Local Repair Shop.

    I do not recommend this service. It's expensive and not sure that people are aware that Geek Squad sends out their repairs and one would have to do without their computer for 3 weeks or more, even for simple repairs. This is not acceptable. My suggestion is to find a good local computer repair shop and go with them. Plus you will be helping small businesses

    I had my printer a little over one year., covered with a 4 year warranty . The printer malfunctioned . Returned to Best Buy , lost over 2-1/2 years of geek squad protection. Best Buy didn't have a replacement for my printer .

    That said, the warranty was 2 years and looks pretty comprehensive. Hard to evaluate until / unless I actually make a claim.

    got it as insurance. didn't need it. product was fine, and we took good care of it. so insurance is a gamble

    Geek Squad Services Not Good

    I picked up a laptop that was sent out by Geek Squad. I spent over an hour because they misplaced the charger to my laptop. Once I got my laptop home, they still had a default password on the laptop so I couldn’t get into it. Had to go back the next day and waited over another hour because they had to reinstall windows.
