Son went off to College as a digital media major. Bought him a highly recommended laptop (per Best Buy employee) did everything they (BB) promised us but died on our son the first year. Burned out fan not repairable. Replaced old laptop with a brand new one. Two years in with new laptop never regretted purchasing the extended Warranty. Thank god I rethought the purchase.

The protection plans that I have purchased on my 2 computers give me great peace of mind, that IF anything goes wrong, I will get help. I am a college student, and have one computer for school and one Chromebook for home use. I have plans on both. I feel very safe knowing I have help and basically insurance if something were to go wrong on either expensive (to me) devices.

had an issue with my laptop shortly after purchase. Something minor but I couldn't figure out why my computer wouldn't install windows 11. I took it back and they had it figured out in about 5 minutes. these guys know what they're doing. 100% worth to buy protection because it covers almost everything.

Bought a protection plan for a laptop . Glad I did , laptop was damaged and they replaced it with a brand new one . Only thing is it is good for one replacement. Bought a one year insurance but it expires when product is replaced .

I like the protection and have always gotten for all my purchases at BestBuy. The one year ended and now they do not let you renew the geek squad protection. Sad. It's a great product for the consumer but I guess company loosing bucks so discontinued it. Make sure you ask questions and make sure before purchase. I would still recommend cause its a great plan.

When you get a computer for a teenager, make sure that you purchase this valuable coverage. Kids sometimes are not protective of the items which they have, not out of malice, but simply out of being a teenage with not enough experience to know how to be protective of valuable assets like a computer. The 3 year accidental damage warranty is always a good idea. One of our laptops was accidentally destroyed when a drink was knocked into it. It was replaced at no cost with no questions.

Works Great, does what we got it for, and my daughter loves it

When I told them I didn't need the membership because my company has IT and it's a company computer, they didn't seem to want to take no for an answer. They kept sending new people to talk to me about why the membership will save me money in the long run, so I agreed to it. I don't need it and wish I didn't agree to give them $200 for the membership. Then I just needed them to install the newest Windows update, they didn't tell me that would cost me another $100 and it took them 4 or so days to install a Windows update.
