    We haven’t needed any service calls with our new laptop, but I have been very happy with their service in the past. Very pleasant and helpful workers.

    My absolute FAVORITE benefit of Geek Squad service is the nation locations. Having kids way at college puts my mind at ease knowing that service and help is already set up and right around the corner for convenience!

    I spilt hot green tea on my keyboard. So I called. Sent the unit back to Best Buy/ Geek Squad. Then I get an email at 11PM on a Friday night telling me: "The costs to repair your product have now reached your plan's maximum benefit amount. This means the terms of your plan have been fulfilled and your Geek Squad® Protection Plan coverage has ended." So, am I getting a replacement or a store credit? I don't know. It doesn't say. The warranty says it could be either/ or. So I guess I will spend my Saturday morning, or my Monday morning, calling and chatting my way up the information food chain so I can find out what is or is not going to happen. This type of notification without all the information is a total fail for Best Buy and Geek Squad. There is really no excuse for this. Don't get me wrong. I appreciate that, (at least I hope), that I will get a replacement or store credit. But I have no idea which. Am I looking for a computer to be delivered? Do I have a store credit floating out there somewhere? And just when exactly will I find out this necessary information? This info should have been in the email I received at 11PM on a Friday. Stay tuned. Let's see how they handle this. Will I ever know? Will they even care. Jesus, take the wheel.

    I bought my computer with one year warranty accidental damage. I wanted to change it I couldn’t but they fixed it.

    Great that they gave me a full credit towards a new computer. Unfortunate that they didn't credit me for the remaining 2 yrs of ext. warranty.

    Long story short. I purchased an expensive gaming laptop that had is GPU go bad after 2 1/2 years and being that I had this coverage was able to get a full refund and was able to purchase an upgraded replacement. I had Geek squad determine the laptops GPU was indeed faulty and had a hassle-free refund within minutes. I was able to replce it that same day.

    Warranty

    Geek squad stands by their warranty. Only thing i dont agree with os 5 days after purchase. The system broke and had to replace the whole system and i had to buy a new warranty for 80$. I feel the 2 year warranty should have transferred to new system. Or should have only had to pay the 5 days prorated to bring it back to 2 years.
