    I just have to say better safe than sorry. It’s always good to have this type of insurance even though you don’t use it.

    One thing they didnt tell me upon purchase was that while it does *Cover* the computer, that almost all components would not be within a window where they would be serviced at the location. I just had a cracked glass screen, and instead of a simple swap where they send it (thing was shattered, literally. Not a repair but a replace) it would take 3-6 weeks to get back. Kicker? Id have to send my *Whole* pc in instead of the glass itself.

    I like this because I can spill things or also I have a cat who likes to get into things and pulls on the wires at times and I have dropped my keyboard and mouse many times by accident.

    They fix or replace your stuff when it breaks! i dont have to call "dave" and hope he thinks its something he can "poke around and figure out" for ya...

    I struggled for weeks trying to open my school page, My husbands like use your geek Squad, I said I don't have time for that. well, it was up and running less than a minute.

    I like the Geek insurance on certain purchases, especially on a computer. Computers are "funny" and something can go wrong. So for the price and peace of mind I purchased this and I'm glad I did.

    Regardless of what product I buy from BestBuy, I never walk out of the store without some kind of insurance if it is offered as I am quite accident prone and when dealing with new tech I do sometimes get worried about cracked screens or items not working after a year of use.

    I buy alot of equipment for my business and family, and I always buy a 3 year accidental geek squad protection plan for all of it. There is good and bad. On one hand, I had a Microsoft Surface Pro that kept having issues, and it was replaced several times. On the last day of the 3 year term, I brought it in again but this time, they were not able to replace it with a like model. Therefore, they issued a gift card for the full amount I paid for it, and frankly, it almost did not seem fair. I went across the store, and spent it on a new computer and of course bought the 3 year protection. I had a Lenovo Mini PC, 18 months old, i9 technology, I loved it. Power went out, and after two weeks of waiting, they would not replace it, and got a gift card. I cannot get that unit again. If you do not have an appt, or you are even 10 minutes late, multiple times at multiple stores, they will turn you away. Twice when this happened, nobody was at the counter, and they literally told me that this may be true, but we have appts and if they show, they can't be helping somebody with another appt time or with no appt. I had to come back. When you do drop a unit off, there is no way to reach them, unless they call you. If you call back, I have never reached that person. Also, it could be a week or 4 weeks that you are in the dark. In general, the lion's share of this dept that I have experienced are not all that interested in your pain and have this sort of "you need us more than we need you" mentality.
