Overall not to happy with this purchase. The basics behind this is if the device can power on then they will work on it but if not then they will offer you an "express replacement" at a preset amount (not ran with current pricing) which in my case was 50 dollars more than the current pricing. In the end it's left to the geek squad's discretion what they do with your device and even though this protection promises a 1 time replacement battery (which is what i wanted) it is not as freely given as advertised,

The geek squad did an excellent job!!!! They were very courteous and attentive.

Not a necessity to be honest. I think anyone can do what they do. The only time I wanted to replace something was the Pen for my Surface Pro 4, and they wouldnt. So overall for me personally a waste of money.

with that i know the tablet is protected and if anything happens to it my baby will get another one.
