    My Tablet Warranty Rocked!

    I accidentally soaked my Samsung tablet in energy drink. The Geek Squad sent my tablet off to be repaired and within 5 days i got an email to come in and pick up my replacement. They gave me a full store credit for the original price of the tablet plus tax and i was able to get the same tablet for less money mailed to my home. The store credit even paid for part of my new warranty!

    2 Yr Geek Squad Protection

    I have used the Geek Squad Protection on any device I purchase. I LOVE IT! It really helps when a device stops working. I can just go into the store. Get a store credit & purchase another device with the store credit. It really comes in handy for devices that just stop working. And I would definitely recommend it to anyone. 10/10!

    Most everything I buy from best buy gets Geek squad. For repairs its always so easy to get it done. Take it to the store and they diagnose what can be done then and there and what needs to be shipped off. You get a call/email when your item is ready to be picked up so can set up a time to that. Things that have been covered in the past for me include a cracked screen, liquid damage, blue screen of death, laptop just not working, xbox controller not working etc. Its a good investment especially when kids are in the house.

    The Geek Squad rocks! I have not had to use Geek Squad protection for this product, but I have used it elsewhere. They are very helpful when you have an issue. The Geek squad at my local store took the time to help fix my dad's laptop power button that got messed up when he dropped it. He actually did not have the protection, but his laptop was brand new and he was pretty upset that he had dropped it. They fixed it, no charge! We were both very pleased that they took the time. That act of goodwill went a long way for both of us. I don't buy the protection plan on everything, but there are times when I wish I would have. My rule of thumb is to buy it if the product is expensive and you are going to use it everyday, especially if you intend to use it in harsh environments.

    The plan itself is fine. When we used it they were fast & professional and it was repaired/replaced quickly. Would have liked to know when I purchased the plan that the tablet would need to be sent out instead of being fixed in house. Sometimes you can't go without so sending it out was an issue.

    Murphy's Law tells us if we buy it we won't need it and if don't buy it we will regret it. Without a warranty, geek squad won't even look at it.

    I took my tablet in for a no charging issue. Geek squad explained the whole process of sending it in and getting it repaired. The process was easy and was given a link to track progress.

    I am happy now that it's all over but I was not happy with Geek Squad. My brand new laptop that was still under warranty got a virus and Geek Squad could not fix it. I had taken it 4 times to have it fixed and they could not get it fixed. On the 5th trip I asked for a replacement (rightfully so under the warranty guidelines) and they would not do it. I had to get ugly. Finally, the store manager, Justin at the Hoover, Alabama location handled the situation for me. He was great! He transferred all of my stuff to my new laptop at no charge to me. He did the right thing since I had paid so much for the warranty! Very thankful for him.

    Good value for the peace of mind that the Accidental Protection plan offers. I don't have to worry if something accidentally happens that damages my Surface Go 2 device. I bought the plan after the device arrived so had to bring the device to a store to have its condition confirmed before I was able to add the plan. It would have been helpful to have a note during the online device purchase process specifying that there would not be an option to add the protection plan online after the device is delivered. I've used Geek Squad services over several years for other items - excellent resource.

    I always purchase Geek Squad service with items that I know I have no business trying to repair, it provides me with the security knowing should something go wrong, repairs are covered. Best way to go.
