    I bought the protection for my daughter's new phone. She dropped it and it cracked. They then informed me I would have to pay a $200 replacement fee. I only paid $300 for the phone. I had no idea of this and when never informed when it was sold to me. Best Buy did a great job of refunding me the cost of the plan as I did not want it any more.

    Geek squads lack of care and communication!!!

    My payment method was not pn the card i was told it would be on, so when i had to get a new debit card due to fraud being done on my card, the payment for my geek squad protection plan wasnt paid. No one emailed me nor did anyone call me to inform me so we could fix the problem. I was told the geek squad protection plan payment would be paid with my Best Buy credit card. It wasnt and was coming off my debit card, i had to get a new debit card and didnt know my geeksquad protection plan wasnt being paid and noone reached out to let me know and fix the issue so my plan lapsed and i now have no coverage on my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.

    It's disappointing that you are supposed to have two claims available to you within 12 months. It wasn't even 3 weeks when I had to return my phone because it had broken. I was appreciative cuz the insurance did cover it, however, I've just realized that it doesn't cover the replacement phone I got. And of course, unfortunately, this one is now broken as well. I just think they should be very clear about the insurance at the purchase. I only hope that it's not too late to get the insurance for this one

    I definitely recommend you get the insurance but it doesn't always cover some things and you always usually pay a deductible

    I wanted a 3 year protection plan and they changed it to a 2 year protection plan on their own. Not happy at all!!!

    I took my Samsung Galaxy a13 5G Android phone to Aberdeen North Carolina and they looked at it and told me it needed a new SIM card which I got and I still cannot make phone calls and I did everything my carrier suggested I even did a factory reset and my phone still does not work. And while I was there I was told I would get a new phone and a new Samsung watch and I did not. Very dissatisfied customer!

    Called to use the protection plan because the charging port broke and was told there is an additional service fee of 19.99 to have the phone replaced. So basically I probably just paid the wholesale cost for a new phone. I bet the plans for other electronics have the same fee but I would imagine higher.

Most other products that use the specific Accidental Geek Squad Protection plan don't have a "deductible" fee, for future reference.     Geek squad is a scam, I have been paying for a protection plan and when I needed to use it due to an error on the system I have not been able to use it. I have been trying to get it fixed by the customer service and it has passed 4 weeks with no luck. I am stuck with a brokent phone that bestbuy will not fix even though I pay for the protection. I would not recommend this product and I will ask for a refund since the service I have payed for has not been fulfilled by bestbuy.
