Used this warranty to replace a defective printer. I had no issues getting to printer replaced. Basically got a credit on the original price of the printer towards a netter printer. The only problem was dealing with the best buy geek squad person in the call center. Had to make an appointment through the person in the call center. The person at the call center was not knowledgeable and was hard to understand with a heavy accent like the call center was overseas. Once I convinced him that it was unfixable by phone and that I only wanted an appointment with the geek squad rep at my local store it was fine but it took an hour to get there. He kept asking for access to my pc to check my OS and drivers which i denied and tryed to explain to him that if was a mechanical problem with the printer and not a software issue. The printer was grinding and knocking and wouldnt initialize. Once I got to the store the geek squad rep was great. 10 minutes in and out with a new replacement printer. Its unfortunate that I had to deal with the un-knowledgeable person at the call center first. Recommend getting this warranty on high usage items like printers

I purchased a 4-year extended warranty with my HP mop M478f printer. Recently, the spring in the paper tray broke and I took the printer in for service. The rep told me that they didn't repair printers and would replace it with a new one! I got a new HP f283 for nothing. The new printer cost a little less than my new printer and they allowed me to use the credit on a new 4-year warranty for the new printer. Lesson learned: Printers have lots of moving parts and mechanical things that can bend or break with regular use. BUY the extended warranty on these things. It is likely you will use it!

I need a new printer with airprint as my old one (also Canon MF) did not have this function. After research and reading reviews from other buyers online, I bought this one. I was very surprised and pleased with how easy the setup was. Setup was all wireless, although wired option was also available. I was able to print wireless from all of my Apple devices: iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro, and iMac. Print quality is excellent. I can not comment on long term use. I will review this printer again in 12 months.

What great about the Geek Squad replacement is the manufacturing typically provides a 1 year warranty BUT the Geek Squad replacement extends the “warranty” with their replacement program. Frankly, that’s the primary reason I purchase from Best Buy.

I like Protection Plans especially for electronics. I joined Total Tech. The squad were easy to make appointments for service. They arrived in the window that was set up. If they were going to be late, they called and let us know their ETA. They are pleasant, they know what they are doing. They never seemed rushed and work on the problem until it is fixed. They are honest and I don't think they would say that an item needs replacing unless it does. The Geek Squad is great!

I’ve always bought extended warranties on everything I buy. I’ve never had any trouble with Best Buy in returning an item that broke they either replace it or give me a replacement at the cost that I spent for it or what it would cost to this day.

I only had to return a printer that the cord would not stay in place but dealing with geek squad was easy. They checked out the problem and saw that there was something not working and gave a honest answer which lead me to select a different printer.

I was amazed when I found out they did not work on printers! I was even more amazed when they replaced my 3 year and 10 months old printer with a brand new one!!! You can't beat that warranty anywhere!!
