Bestbuy policy changes in their protection plan leaves you owing out of pocket money if you bought your item on sale. The last 2 items I bought at Bestbuy and purchased their protection has left me owing money because I bought the item on sale. The wording in the protection contract says they will repair or replace my item at no cost to me should it be damaged or fails. I purchased an Ion Sport XL outdoor Bluetooth speaker and got the 2 year protection plan. Just over a year after my purchase the speaker blew out. I took it back to Bestbuy and was told they don't repair those that I could exchange it. I got the only one they had in stock and when the exchange was completed she told me I owed $113.00 for the difference on the exact same item. In other words the wording on the protection plan is deceptive. They said the only way they could fulfill my protection was to return my item for a refund and I would have to pay the full price for the other one. The didn't prorate the remaining year on the plan I had purched either. I've been a customer at Bestbuy for over 20 years and have never experienced policy such as this. The same thing happened this week on an Insignia counter top ice maker. Not only do they not repair them they had stopped selling the one I purchased which left me owing out of pocket money again. I was not informed they didn't repair the ice maker when I bought it. If I had known they were going to stop selling it just a few months after I bought it I would have selected a different brand in the beginning. Bottom line the Bestbuy Geek Squad Protection Plan is full of holes that will leave you owing money when it comes time to use it.

Item did not function one day . Now the Best buy where I purchased the unit is giving me grief about returning the speaker. I thought that was why I purchased the extended warranty so this would not happen?

Over priced with no help! No real need to add to order!

Bought a JBL speaker and the 2 year warranty. My speaker started to malfunction a little over 2 years since i bought it. The sound didn't sound right. I tried to get it fixed come to find out my warranty has expired. Best buy sells you this warranty without telling you that its going to be overlapped with manufacturer warranty. Manufacturer warranty is 1 year, That's when that 2 years warranty should be applied after that first year. So best buy won't honnor to fix my speaker do to this warranty problem. Before purchasing warranty for anything from best buy make sure there able to honnor what they sell.

Terrible connection and sound quality. Device is in straight and direct line of sight, 10 feet away from speaker, there is NOTHING between source and speaker. Yet, the connection is not only choppy, but also has an annoying background sound, something like the sound of the "sand" on a tv channel that is not tuned. I have tried it already with 2 different speakers, different brands, sizes, qualities and capabilities. Same result. I wish I could return this piece of junk.

The sound is incredible. The app itself, the power control, and the bluetooth funcionality are all absolute, complete, garbage. Get this: You can connect the app to multiple speakers, but YOU CANNOT SWITCH BETWEEN THE SPEAKERS FROM THE APP. ??!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unbelievable garbage software on this otherwise incredible speaker.

DO NOT BUY. I am returning this piece of junk. The button for resetting time does not work. The button for setting the date does not work, renering it useless.

This speaker honestly sucks, it feels and is lightweight, the sound quality isn't good, and it BROKE after only ONE use! I DO NOT recommend buying this speaker, I am very upset and unsatisfied with my purchase!

Bought a Shape boombox was very Dissatisfied with the product was not able to return to the store was told I had to call the manufacturer and they was not willing to take it back and it was only 5 days old and out of the box. It would turn off when used with batteries and had lots of problems keeping it connected with Bluetooth so I wouldn’t advise you to buy a Shape product

Didn’t work without earbuds very disappointed, spent $30 dollars cause of tax on this item. Best Buy do better and mention if your products do or do not work

Can't connect both and pair with another blue device and they do not work with UE BOOM app. Would not recommend

The battery life is not 24 hours playing music except that the sound is amazing

Doesn't work with any devices that I have. Speakers, phone, TV.
