    Update From Original Review

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This is an update from my first review, which covered using these LinkBuds after one week of use. It's been over a month and I have to say that although the idea for these are interesting and unique, my earbuds have been falling out (especially the right one) while I talk, eat, brush my teeth, and sometimes by not doing anything. I've tried all the wing tip sizes, but nothing works. Also, the earbuds sometimes registers the skin of my ears as if I was tapping on them with my fingers. This has led to phone calls hanging up, video skip, song skip, etc. The execution of this product isn't great. Hopefully Sony can update these with a better material so they don't fall out and hardware that doesn't mistake the finger tapping with ear skin. I can;t recommend these anymore. Save your money for a sale or better quality earbuds.

    Poor sound quality and volue

I have one ear that has outer ear damage and was hoping these could help me hear music better. They have very poor sound quality with almost no base. And the maximum volume is so low that it just doesn't work for me. I will be returning this. Even one ear with a $20 ear piece sounds better than 2 ears with this.

    Worst Headphones Ever

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

These are the worst headphones I have ever owned in my entire life. They never fail to irritate me on a day to day basis. I had beats that broke after 6 years and I love gaming, so I just needed something low cost super quick, but they don't stay the default on my computer, so my computer connects to quite literally anything else (which of all the headphones I've used in the past, this has NEVER been an issue). They don't stay on while charging, so after a charge I have to go back and accept the permission to connect and reset it as default. They have this little white noise that constantly plays when I play sound. I didn't really notice it until I was listening to music straight after listening to something in my car and I was like... wait. This actually sounds so bad lol! But yeah the main irritating issue is just that they are a pain to constantly be reconnecting to my computer because again - I have NEVER had this issue with ANY other sound devices.

    Not great

The headphones have a nice case, are fairly easy to get connected, and the controls are great and easy to use. The headphones are comfortable, but the sound quality is not great. Sounds like "t" and "p" sound very tinny and hissy with the default sound profile and I couldn't get used to it; the Active Noise Cancelling also includes a hissing / white noise that to me was very noticeable and I didn't want that going all the time. This is a common feature of cheap noise cancelling headphones, which I learned after purchasing. I decided to return these. I also didn't notice much actual noise cancelling; it sounded more like just muffled sound because of the foam around the ears. To me, these headphones weren't worth the price; if you want noise cancelling, get a nicer pair, and if you just want normal headphones, get something cheaper.

Easy to use & easily slip out of ear

I am writing the review after a month of using the ear buds. They sound great and easy to setup and connect. In the initial days they we very firm in the ear but gradually started slipping out of ear, especially the right bud is slipping out within a minute, which is very annoying.

    Uncomfortable for extended use

I have a bit of hearing loss and my Sonus Arc is not useful for dialogue. So I purchased these to help me listen to TV and I am not happy with the size, weight and comfort of long term use, roughly any more than an hour. Could not recommend. Unfortunately, I was not able to use them until the return period was almost over otherwise I would have returned for refund. so I’m stuck with them. Sound is okay as is reception. Just not at all comfortable for extended (TV) use.

Not so great when pairing with TV or MBP

Great sound when connected to my iPhone. Not so great experience connecting with my Samsung 4K tv and MacBook Pro M1. The sound gets all distorted in both cases and furthermore on the MBP, I was in a google meet call and the sound quality dropped then eventually distorted into a warbled mess which forced me to drop off the call and come back on without the buds. Disappointing if you’re looking to use this with a variety of devices.

    Constantly Pause and are sensitive

The earbuds are very sensitive to anything. I have barely touched them and they have paused my music. I have had my hair touch them and it stops the music. They cut in and out all of the time. Not what I have been used to in the past. Would not suggest them.

    Sennheiser< RayCon

first and only experience with Sennheiser and it will be my last. Bought these for my wife. they worked for a year or so and then the right one stopped working. Did all the updating and such. Nothing worked. Sent to Sennheiser and got a replacement. They lasted about 3 months and same issue. Chucked 'em in the trash and bought more raycons. Cheap but at least they last for 3 years plus.

Terrible controls. I wanted to like these, but…

I wanted to like these headphones. They are comfortable, sound quality is fair. Mike quality is excellent. But the touch controls are terrible. In calls or when using audio, it’s too easy to inadvertently hit the touch sensitive control button. I also dislike the lack of volume control and power on the device. Returning them.

Just average. I expected more for the price.

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Ridiculous that you have to keep these in the case to pair them. If you use them on your phone and then on your work PC and then take them to the gym and sync them with your Apple Watch, you need to take the case into the gym and not leave it in your car. This is kinda dumb! Why can’t we press and hold both buds to pair? Stop trying to be like Apple requiring the case! The noise cancellation is equivalent to Jabra Elite 7 Pro or Sennheiser Momentum 3. The hear through or ambient mode is not good as you feel like your listening through a wall. They are slightly hard to take out of the case. The case is nice and small. It’s the best case of the three. They fit well just like the Jabras do. For the very high price I expected them to be allot better. The Sennheiser Momentum 3 are slightly larger but better overall if they fit you. The Jabras are great too except their microphone for phone calls are blocked by your ear and you sound muffled. The Sennheiser and Jabras are frequently on sale at steep discounts, almost half price at times.

Don’t stay in place to be charged.

Don’t magically hold in place to charge so if the case gets bumped around they don’t get charged. I have the older model that was discontinued that was a better earbud but they don’t hold a charge very well anymore. Disappointed with these so far.

use common usb cable ends and get 5 stars

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I'm so sad that the cable is a specialized charging cable that is so short. Why can't it be a common USB? Also, what is with a 2' charging cable? Now I have no options but to keep this nice headset on the floor next to the outlet. Maybe it can live by the toaster on the kitchen counter. -5 stars The sound, novelty and usability bring it to 2 stars.

    Broken within 6 months

Wife got these for me for Christmas, and I maybe have used them for 40 hours before they stopped working. They will no longer stay paired with my phone, and I tried to work through their warranty process but they either take you back to their troubleshooting page or never respond. I only used them for flights, and since I have another one coming up I bought a pair of $40 Tozo earphones off of Amazon instead of continuing to try and get these repaired or replaced. The ease of use is 2 stars because you have to download and setup a profile to connect to your iphone.

Dont ever order and wxpect Bestbuy to Shio the items to you. Definitely not in the time they stated. I order this and selected to have it shipped since it said it would arrive next day. Fro 2 days my Order has been stuck on "Packaging" and still hasnt left for delivery. I could have easily driven the 5 miles and picked it up but since they promised next day delivery i chose that option. Now 2 days later i dint have the order and I am afraid with their incompetence that Canceling the order and trying to pick it up would guarantee something gets messed up. I dont want to be charged twice or something. If they cant handle driving a package 5 miles in 2 days i dont trust them to refund me and get my order in store together.
