The product replacement plan is well worth the extra money as it is very useful if something happens to your device.

It is nice to know if I break my purchased item I can go to the store and exchange it .

Purchased for extended warranty on watch and haven't had to use and hopefully won't have to. Not much of a fan of some warranties but felt I would need on watch just in case.
