That said, the warranty was 2 years and looks pretty comprehensive. Hard to evaluate until / unless I actually make a claim.

Typical extended warranty protection. I haven't had to use it yet but the peace of mind is always there

All laptops need a warranty. This is always necessary/required.

My BestBuy profile shows that I have a support plan and that Secure Anywhere is included, but the antivirus does not show in my library when I try to download. I cannot get any help by phone or chat to resolve this problem.

I’ve seen really amazing warranties, and I’ve seen terrible ones. This warranty is appropriate in a lot of aspects, only because it’s on the pricey side of things. I can’t be upset, since I bought it. I guess you pay extra for the peace of mind.

I do not recommend this service. It's expensive and not sure that people are aware that Geek Squad sends out their repairs and one would have to do without their computer for 3 weeks or more, even for simple repairs. This is not acceptable. My suggestion is to find a good local computer repair shop and go with them. Plus you will be helping small businesses

got it as insurance. didn't need it. product was fine, and we took good care of it. so insurance is a gamble

haven't used it yet but hopefully it is good since a lot of bad review about the service giving to customer.

I had my printer a little over one year., covered with a 4 year warranty . The printer malfunctioned . Returned to Best Buy , lost over 2-1/2 years of geek squad protection. Best Buy didn't have a replacement for my printer .

Good idea to get this. The insurance is worth it. We always get it.

The warranty is too expensive. I purchased for a HP Laptop and decided to cacel it when I realized that HP had the same plan for a lot cheaper. I waited on the phone for roughly 40mins beforebI could even talk to someone to cancel it. I can only imagine how long I'd have to wait if I needed service. Notbworth the money, at all. However the rep was very nice and easy to work with.

i had a repair done on a laptop, and had to take it back a second time. this time they replaced the hard drive. maybe it will work this time.

The Geek Squad referred me to the wrong place for an exchange or refund on my computer. Only had it 3 days it was damanged. Purchased the damage protection coverage. I had to purchase another computer because I really needed it for work. The original computer no one will accept it or exchange it and why couldn't I get a refund if I had a warranty and had to purchase another 1 because the store wouldn't exchange it

The protection plan gives me peace of mind while using and maintaining my new computer, but a bit pricey.

Love geek squad use them all the time for computers and TVs and electronic device that I can’t work or that don’t work.

Laptop was less than a year old and was sent in for corner crack in screen. Was told not able to repair. Was given an instore credit for 2/3 of what the product cost and nothing was ever mentioned about the extended warranty purchased.

I thought the price was a little steep. I'm hoping I won't need it the protection plan though.
