I've used this protection plan on multiple occasions and been happy every time. From general tuneup/cleanup of older laptops to being able to switch out a new one because it didnt power up correctly. This plan is worth the money.

I realize in Vegas you never buy insurance while playing blackjack. Purchasing the head to toes insurance on an electronic device is VERY smart!

Read the fine print. If they decide, at their discretion, to replace the covered item, rather than repair it, they will issue you a store credit for the amount of the original purchase. However, the fine print states that in that case, their obligations for the extended waranty ar3 fully satisfied. Meaning, while you will get a store credit to buy a new device, your new device will not have the extended waranty. If you want that, you will need to pay for it again again. Basically in my case, i prepaid $309 to allow me to return my defective machine after the return period expired. I have a new machine, but i have no extended waranty, and less storage due to pricing and feature differences for in stock items. The terms stated in the simplified description are misleading and i do not recommend this service.

I wanted to be covered in case of accidents when it comes to my new Lenovo Yoga laptop.

Luckily haven't needed to use the Geek Squad Protection plan yet. Nice to know if I need it though, much more affordable option than purchasing new.

Only time ever used insurance from best buy is for a tv and printer. Both times the insurance paid for itself. I always keep it on my stuff now that more electronics are in these units.

The staff is very attentive to the needs of the customer and does all they can do to make sure the issue is resolved right the first time

I actually had an accident within 30 days of my purchase. Geeksquad stepped up and showed out! Hassle free repair with a short turn around. This service is totally awesome!

I hope that I never need it, but knowing that I am protected against drops and spills gives me piece of mind. Accidents happen sometimes and at least I am protected 2 years.

Greek Squad service in 2021 was awesome. You pay for what you want to protect and it wasn't a yearly plan.
