My camera was acting up because there was corrosion around the lens mounting. After standing in line for a very long time one person said he could not help me. Another person at the Geek Squad counter overheard this and said he would help. Did not realize extended warranty covers one cleaning per year. I was never told that. Camera was cleaned and now seems to be working correctly.

Good plan to have in place should you need it. Geek Squad does good work but is expensive if you do not have service plan

Bought this plan and was told that part of the plan included a cleaning of the camera and lens each year. I forgot about this benefit until towards the end up my plan (it expires in a few months) and so I went to Best Buy to find out the process for this service. They stated they do not service cameras onsite and have to send them away for this service. I asked how long it would take and they said approx 6-8 weeks. That is completely ridiculous! I am not willing to be without my camera for that long. I use my camera nearly every weekend and expected that it might take like two weeks or so, so once I found out it would possibly be 2 months, I chose not to take advantage of this service. What a waste of money!

It is nice to know there is a plan available to help me protect my purchase.

Nice but I’m very cautious with all electronics but when getting this plan with parent the Best Buy employees harassed my mom get her issuance

I haven't had to use this for this product but think it's a good idea for anyone to have coverage on expensive items

Geek squad is awesome. I would recommend it for anyone who purchases tech or high value products.
