Absolutely trash service. camera got thrashed from accidentally leaving it on my car and they’re refusing to replace it . Why buy insurance if insurance doesn’t cover the accidental damage makes no sense

I purchased a Sony camera and investing in a two year protection plan for a camera is a smart and practical decision, especially considering how valuable and delicate camera equipment can be.

I did have trouble adjusting to this camera since the auto focus also adjusts the length of the lens. My previous camera was the Rebel T5. It does take high quality pictures and I am able to see the captured image in the eye piece. That allows me to know in real time if I’ve captured the shot. With the lens moving constantly, it does quickly drain the battery.

I purchased the Geek Squad Protection Plan for my camera, and it has been completely worth it. Knowing that accidental damage and hardware issues are covered gives me a lot of confidence when I’m out shooting. The coverage is clear, the setup is easy, and Best Buy always provides helpful support when I have questions. For anyone investing in camera gear, this plan adds great peace of mind and protects your investment long-term.

The local geek squad members are polite and knowledgeable. I haven’t had to utilize their service yet but I’m confident and feel reassured they can handle whatever electronic task at hand that needs repair.

Solid camera. No problems. It's has been with me for 7months. I've taken over 15000 pics; I used it for sports wildlife and casual shooting. I came from a m50 II. The upgrade is worth it. The IBIS is awesome. I can handheld shoot in low light for up to 2 sec if I try hard. I got the geek squad insurance.

I have been fortunate that I have not needed to utilize the Geek Squad services. That reflects highly on canon products. IMPO, canon products are outstanding. I worked for Best Buy during college, so this is a biased review even though it has been more than a decade… I greatly appreciate the Geek Squad. Because they’re not salesmen, they genuinely do try to help everyone as best they can. My recent experience with Geek squad, as a wedding photographer, my primary camera started acting up 2 days before a wedding. If I had to send it in to canon and let them work on it- I wouldn’t have had it back in time to shoot the wedding and would’ve had a major challenge on my hands to rent a camera in time- it just wouldn’t have been possible. As I the geek squad guy told me they would have to send the camera off for repairs, my heart sank. I explained that I really needed a camera to work otherwise I was going to be royally screwed. In order to save my rear end, the Geek Squad guy returned my camera, and I was able to buy the same camera to replace the original and repurchase the Geek Squad protection. I have ALWAYS loved that about Best Buy- replacement plans and service plans are VERY WORTH IT for expensive electronics! Not so much TVs - because generally if the TV works fine out of the box, the product will outlast any protection plan that you buy, but iPads, cameras, computers- I wouldn’t recommend purchasing those without the plan(s). Thanks Geek Squad for covering my hind-parts!

Iam new to the camera scene but very eager to learn. This camera will allow that without having to invest on a hefty price if it doesnt work out. The protection is there if needed hopefully i dont need to use it
