    Geek Squad Gaming Part Replacement

    My experience with Geek Squad to replace a Nintendo Switch controller has been horrible. I spent hours being transferred to multiple departments with no one willing or capable of helping. There is no consistency with the information provided to me. I was asked to schedule an in store appointment with geek squad only to be told that they do not troubleshoot Nintendo switches. A lot of time was wasted and It’s very upsetting to say the least.

    Worst Service EVER!!!!!!!

    It is a fighting chance you get them on the phone and when you do everyone wants to transfer you every where and NO ONE wants to help with the issue. I am suppose to be receiving replacement parts there is no update and when you can talk to someone they ask has it been fulfilled. No why would i be calling well then you get transferred and hung up constantly I will NEVER buy extended service again and best buy is just not worth it anymore ! Awful Service

    Insurance

    I purchased the insurance for the device. When I used the insurance, the replacement I received for the controllers was refurbished controllers, stained, don't cradle well with the device and we're heavily used controllers. The device I purchased was over 400 dollars its the OLED mario smash brothers and the controllers were of a high quality. It's disheartening to see how I was sent low quality controllers that are heavily used and were refurbished.

    I purchased this protection plan with the expectation that my product would be either fixed or replaced. My product broke 2 months after purchasing and my plan only allows a replacement or store credit. I didn’t pay with store credit so why should I get that back instead of a full refund? It’s unfair because the product that I purchased is no longer in production and my son, who I purchased it for is heartbroken that I cannot exchange it for the exact same item. I literally feel like I wasted my money.

In cases where repairs are not possible or would exceed the cost of the purchase, the plan terms described at http://geeksquad.com/termsconditions provide for either a comparable replacement or a gift card for that device's current market value if a replacement is not available.
