    Geek Squad accidental replacement has saved me thousands over the last 20 plus years of buying from Best Buy ! I have always purchased the replacement plans for anything over 50 dollars is my rule of thumb and let me tell you I have had many things go wrong with many different items and Geek squad has always been there to save the day ! I have only had one bad experience out of probably 30 or more different returns over the years where they would not fix a tv and that was just due to a worker that didn't seem to like customers and tried every way possible for the repair to be denied lol

    Honestly Best Buy should offer the membership sooner, I have bought many things from there and since I got the total yearly membership. I had a very expensive laptop taken to a local shop couldn't turn it on or figure it out spent 2 weeks in their shop went to best buy to buy the membership because they will help with any device no matter where or when you bought it, they had it turned on in less than 2 hours

    [Employee of bestbuy] My agents were able to provide the right help for me and were very friendly and on top of that, it was Black Friday, with them remaining with great attitude and composure. I was able to take this product home and enjoyed with all of my friends playing the ps5 that night at a party.

    Love this service! No hassle on services and quick with help and need. Highly recommend for any equipment or service they can cover but do stay away from geek squad help desk. They never took anything I tried to get service on.

    Some products are built to last and sadly others are built to last just long enough for the next models to drop so it’s important to research and know which companies do what. If you spend 8 hours a day using something then you probably need extra protection on it. Results vary from person to person. For instance, if you have a gaming channel, it doesn’t matter how gentle you are with your controller when you cut down 10000 trees a day in Minecraft you will wear out that stick and button and it will start to drift or stick on you and be useless for a clinch shooter game. Or if you’re a food guru fitness nut that eats 6 meals a day you probably use your blender way more than most people for shakes and food prep so it WILL wear out faster than advertised so it’s smart to pay a bit extra to get the 2 more years warranty where the guy with the gaming channel that only uses his blender once a month to make margaritas probably doesn’t need the extra protection. So think about it’s cost and how much of a problem it will be to replace if it breaks and decide what extension warranties are right for you.

    You know... I had great experiences with the Geek Squad that I've looked forward to our brief interactions. I show them my faulty product they sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and ask me if I got the GEEK SQUAD warranty. Oh ho why yes Alex I do in fact got just that I say more or less. Then Alex gives me a brand new replacement. Oh how I love walking out Best Buy a satisfied customer. Alas these two years went by without a hitch and I didn't get to have that pleasant visit after all. Sigh maybe next time.

    This service actually really helps out if something goes wrong with your products. For example, PS5 controller having stick drift it’ll cost you a smaller amount of money to replace and buy new warranty then buy a whole new control.

    Lifesaver with my son's headsets

    We bought the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Xbox headset for my son. After two months, the mic quit. We invoked the Geek Squad plan. Four months later, headset number two gave up the ghost. We're now on headset number three, about two months in. Both headsets had microphone failure. The headphones themselves were flawless -- great for music and such, but if your friends can't hear you, what good are they. Thankfully I was able to get the headsets replaced quickly in store. Very happy!
