Added geek squad to my PS5 purchase because they explained they would repair or replace it - if anything went wrong . Yesterday it wouldn’t turn on , hadn’t been moved or used - just wouldn’t turn on. We made an appointment and arrived early but were still there more than 45 minutes, at first waiting for a receipt for the item we were leaving for repair and then were told they didn’t repair it and wouldn’t replace it . I explained that the salesperson claimed that geek squad would repair or replace the item - if it stopped working but the geek squad employee said they don’t replace the item . So now I have a credit I have to use at Best Buy but no item to buy and no help from Best Buy to get a replacement PS5 . Geek squad will extend the warranty but don’t let them fool you, they’ll give you a refund but no repair or replacement help at all - BE WARNED

the geek squad warranty is sort of a joke. I have to replace my PS5 controller a lot because the buttons wear down

Eh...I mean when I need it the most, it always just expired. Then other times it gets sent out to the manufacturer, anyway, which I could've done.

Kind of a racket to be honest. It isn't really necessary.

I feel safer knowing if my console takes any damage over the holidays with traveling im covered

Love the geek squad insurance work great and good service

The biggest problem is the price, but for what you pay for electronics you might as well do your homework and see if the manufacturer's warranty won't cover what the extended warranty does.

The things they tell you when selling you the insurance is not all true

So I bought this for my ps5 thinking that if there were a problem, it would get solved. Not. A. Chance. Best Buy takes your money and there isn’t a chance in hell you’re getting another ps5. They’ll offer your money back, but you’re out a ps5, or you can hope sony fixes it. So you pay them for nothing. Thanks for stealing my money.

Havent had to use it yet hopfully i wont. But nice to kno if i can't do ot i cam call in the professionals

Poor customer service when i purchased the plan i was explained that if anything happens to it it would be exchanged with no issues now that i am having problems they are giving me the run around this will be my last purchase as a best buy customer

Gaming consoles are expensive so I bought GSP just in case. Fortunately, I haven’t had to use it.

Didn’t get anything installed just got the insurance for product replacement

in the case that my playstation does get damaged... hope its no hidden reason why i should not be able to return the system

Not very good, went to best buy because I was told they will replace my broken controller, when I got there they said they will not replace or repair it.
