Microsoft utilizes incremental updates on their xbox one. Normally your system would receive the updates in multiple parts following a sequential order. Unfortunately if you don't use the console for a while and turn it on than it may receive the updates in the wrong order. This can cause the system to stop functioning. Due to the formatting on the hard drive it isn't an easy process to replace the hard drives in a xbox one. Geek Squad Protection will enable you to get a replacement if this occurs.

The Accidental Protection Plan is well worth it, especially with all of the play time the Xbox series console gets nowadays. I recommend getting one when available from Best Buy. Well worth it.

This protection option for the Xbox I purchased costs less than a single controlller. I feel good knowing that if my family’s gaming system goes down for some reason, I am covered.

I lost everything due to a flood, and I have my red cross case number to prove it. As well as multiple pictures of my house being flooded. As advised, I did not touch anything because of bacteria I just moved whatever wasn't damaged when I moved out and let the cleaning crew the apartment complex hired take care of the rest. My son lost his X-Box S and controllers and my warranty will not cover it because I don't have the device. The last thing I was thinking about was thinking about after losing everything was "make sure we grab the Xbox" for geek squad. I purchased another protection plan for my laptop and took it to best buy this week to find out it needed a new battery. Contacted geek squad to find out the battery isn't covered in my warranty. Unless your kids are a little wild and tend to break things don't waste your money on that 2-year protection plan

Love the convenience of either using a disc or cloud gaming with Game Pass. So many games i can play wothout having to physicaly purchase them. Some other great features that aren’t on PS5 as well. Specifically Dolby Atmos audio!!!

MY SON ALREADY BROKE THE CONTROLLER , WENT BACK TO BEST BUY, AND THEY TOOK MY INFO AND SENDING ME ANOTHER ONE< ITS BEEN 3 DAYS AND STILL WAITING FOR IT TO ARRVE THOUGH< THOUGHT THEY WOULD JUST EXCHANGE IT RIGHT THERE < OHH WELL, AT LEAST A NEW ONE WILL COME SOON !!
