I bought this even though my oculus 2 died just after two years. Best Buy recommended a repair place. They recommended Meta who never responded.

A great standalone headset; however, I purchased the device primarily to connect with my gaming PC using the advertised Oculus Link feature. This feature does NOT work as advertised. I was unable to get the headset to connect to my PC despite updating Windows, USB drivers, and Nvidia drivers. I tried both Oculus Link (using the official Oculus Link Cable) as well as the Oculus Air Link beta feature. Both methods connect to my PC initially but crash as soon as I try to launch Oculus Link from the headset. I highly recommend searching online for "Oculus Link crashes on start". You will find endless forms of people experiencing the same issue with no solution. I you are also looking for a headset to use primarily with your PC then I would recommend looking at something else.

Bought this only for peace of mind, just in case something happens. It is pretty much buying something you never hope to use which is weird to think of but better safe than sorry when purchasing something you have no idea to operate and expensive. So if you can afford it, I guess its worth it, maybe.

Worth it when you accidentally throw a controller...

As long as I waited to buy VR and as much as I wanted the unit I could not get past its linkage to Facebook. This really wasn't too my liking and immediately turned me off. The device itself was great and very easy to setup aside from being forced to create a Facebook account.
