So far we haven't had to use it but, with my experience with amazon, im sure its a better option than to have to pay for a replacement later.

Originally i purchased the Bose QC, i quicly returned them and purchased the Sony XM5. I have been very happy with the comfort and sound. Recently used in an airplane, the noise canceling completely drowned out the engines and enjoyed watching movies and listening to music. Setup is lengthy but totally worth it.
