Protection ifneeded, expensive cam, so purchased the protection

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the recent service I received for my camera at your store. On May 20, I brought in my camera due to issues connecting to the SnapBridge app. The representative informed me that it needed to be sent off for repair, which would take approximately two weeks. Unfortunately, during this period, there was no communication to update me on the status of my camera. More than three weeks later, I finally received notification that my camera was ready for pickup. However, upon visiting the store, I was informed that there was uncertainty about whether my camera had indeed been repaired. The representative mentioned that the firmware was updated and the camera was cleaned, but I was left wondering if the main issue—the SnapBridge connectivity problem—had been resolved. To my surprise, no attempt had been made to connect the camera to the app during the repair process. Instead, I was hurriedly encouraged to try it myself before the store closed. Unfortunately, my attempts to connect to SnapBridge were unsuccessful. Furthermore, I was given two options: either take the camera to a different professional camera service or send it back for reevaluation, which would add an additional three-plus weeks to the process. As a paying customer, I find it perplexing that an alternative repair option outside of Best Buy was even suggested. I am disappointed that my camera was sent off for repair without addressing the actual issue I reported. I have missed capturing important milestones due to this prolonged inconvenience. Now, I am left waiting to see if my camera can indeed be repaired or if I will need to consider purchasing a new one, especially since my current model has been discontinued.

I always like to purchase geek squad for my devices just in case something happens. It definitely comes in handy!

So far so good. Anything I have taken in for geek squad attention has been fixed or replaced with no problems.

I always buy the Geek Squad Protection Packages on electronics. Peace of mind and have never lost a penny on them.

I like having the service of the extended warranty especially on small electronics. We have needed to use it twice on things that quit charging and are glad we did it!

An amazing camera BUT it overheats every 30 minutes which is very inconvenient.

Buy the warranty on anything u buy.... trust me its worth it......

Even though I have not needed to use it. It is nice to know my product is insured in case of an accident. Which makes me trust my little cousins to use it.

This is my third camera that I've replaced using the protection plan. Other two toasted while surfing with them and they failed - even though they were waterproof.

I always purchase coverage now no matter the price point because sadly, as grannie would say, nothing is made like it used to be! #HeyGrannie #ThankYouBestBuy

Better to have protection for these large purchases because if something goes wrong , you will not have to worry if it will get fixed and how much it will cost.

Haven’t had to use it at all. Which means my Sony zv-1 is working just great. Good for security though.

This is a very good deal for any piece of tech that you feel worthy of purchasing an extended warranty.

Never use geek squad but I have heard they always come Thur to fix the product and great costumer service .
