I always purchase a Geek Squad Protection (GSP) Plan for most major purchases at Best Buy. When my item goes defective, the process is simple for either a replacement of the exact same item (if available) or a store credit for the purchase price so you can get a newer item.

Used this for Scotland—disappointed. Hard-to-adjust backpack and waist straps, awkward chest strap, not enough pockets. Side entry was handy, and it fit a 16” MacBook, but overall didn’t meet the hype. Would not recommend.

Love the replacement plan, you never know when you accidently break of your items and this comes in handy when i need to replace the item instead paying full price again.

I haven't had to use this warranty yet but have had great Best Buy experiences in the past. They are very good at repairing or just totally replacing with a brand new product most of the time. You really can't beat that for electronics that are so expensive to replace!!!

Best Buy made it easy to file the warranty claim at the register for the item I purchased and it was a quick process. You should always get this just in case.
