No matter what product i buy at best buy i always get the geek squad protection plan. If its available at any product, i will always get it for a peace of mind.

I knew my Elite series 2 Xbox controller would malfunction within 2 years given Microsoft's track record. I went to replace or repair the controller but it was discontinued already. Geek squad refunded the controller no hassle no problem

I dont normally purchase the additional warranty however with the product we purchased (switch remote) this will get a lot of use and I love the idea behind if anything goes wrong I can bring it in.

If something is worth buying and you think there is a high risk it could be damaged why not spend a few extra dollars now and protect it.
