If you don't use the item that much, then yeah you can skip out on this. However, if you're like me and use (insert item here) nonstop? it's gonna wear down quick. Since their policy is very forgiving, you could essentially unbox the item you purchased as soon as you get it home, smash it with a hammer, pick up all the pieces, put it in the box, and take it back and get either store credit or do a one-for-one swap and go about your day. So next time they offer this to you, really assess how you're going to use and abuse the item before you tell them you don't want the replacement contract. it's saved me more money than it's cost me in every scenario

Good service, the only downside is that I have to drive an hour just to return something if it doesn’t work. Wish I could return it through shipping to save me the trouble.

I’m very happy with this keyboard and mouse as it works flawlessly with the set up and the keyboard and mouse are both very high-quality. It’s better to mess with a lot of these devices these days as when I buy them on Amazon I often have to return them. I know that this purchase will last a long time.

I always purchase the Accidental Geek Squad Warranty on all my purchased appliances and electronics from Best Buy. I had several occasions that the warranty came in handy at a bad time; when one of my appliances broke down and model discontinued BB had a higher/better model I was able to choose from at not cost for replacement; when our 55" TV stopped working, BB was able to get that resolved with a replacement for a newer model, at no cost; a very highly rated Router purchased with the Geek warranty died on us at one month left on the warranty, BB replaced with a newer model because the old one was discontinued.
