Nice to have for buying expensive gadgets but expensive for my taste to renew it all the time.

The policies surrounding the Geek Squad plan have no safeguards for customers. I had to return a recalled item, Best Buy branded Insignia Air Fryers, because of potential overheating and fire hazard. Because of this I had asked if I can refund my Protection Plan or apply it to another Air Fryer I would purchase. But the policy appears to make no concessions to their customer on this matter. Mind you again, the reason for the return is due to Best Buy's recall messaging/emails. I then could not get a full return on my Protection Plan for a product that is now known to be hazardous. Essentially paying for nothing and putting money into Best Buy's pocket. Prior to my in store visit, I had called the recall hotline to address the claim on the protection plan that was purchased at the same time as the air fryer, which they weren't able to do and directed me elsewhere. I then chatted with a Best Buy Agent on their website, and they informed me that my conversations was put into the system, go to a store, let them know, and they will be able to look up my conversation that I would have a store credited card for me made. At the store, the workers did not have any procedure for this and appeared to not know anything about such a process. They could only quote "rules" or "policies" but couldn't address the issue on a human level. The policies stripped away all common sense. I do not fault the workers, but I do wish there was a policy somewhere that some matters require a little more than corporate speak. The experience left me helpless and it made me into just a number. There was no effort to deal with the matter as a human being. A lot of time and patience wasted.

Depends on where you go the one on Morse was the best after the person on the phone lied about the warranty on my camera I went to Reynoldsburg they were no help but on Morse they was willing to make things right

I have not used it for this purchase but used it in the past. I think they are good.

I got this plan when I purchased the Wahl hair Clippers in case anything goes wrong. Hopefully not.

Great technology, bummer that the machine stops working in a year with minimal use. Begin to cut on and off while using after a few months of use. Fast forward a year and completely not working. I saw the horror stories before about this product and its my reality. I expected this and purchased the two year warranty. Hoping to get a new one asap and replace in a year :(

If u can get this for any large purchase i would definitely recommend doing so.

Good product. Always worth the money to purchase protection just in case something goes wrong.
