It paid for itself by allowing me to exchange a product that had already expired manufactures warranty. Simply walked in and exchanged as the device was not repairable. Worth thinking about purchasing when you look at replacement costs of some items.

Normally I do not get the protection plans, but because the Arlo cameras could go bad within the 2 year coverage and because they are rather expensive for each one, the 2-year coverage was a good insurance plan considering I will have 4 external cameras.

I wasn't always a believer in Best buy Black Tie Protection. but when you use it and they replace your product with a new product 2 years later ,you get sold real quick and for no extra price.
