I bought this plan without really giving a second thought. I purchased a 300.00 router and figured my last one lasted a long time and never needed replacement. I so glad I did because in a little over a year my router took a snooze and never woke up. I was already going to purchase another one as I was looking through my order history to see how much I paid for it I noticed that I bought the replacement plan for it... great saved myself 300 bucks. I went into the store and picked up another one the only catch is that it’s only a 1 time use, with the exchanges one I had to purchase another replacement plan to cover the new one again. No big deal I would recommend.

We purchased two 43" LED tv's, one was a Visio and the other was a Toshiba. We purchased the extended warranty on both, the Visio lasted about a year and a half then just quit displaying a picture. Called the Geek Squad to check it out. They came out within a couple of days tried a few things to repair it with not luck, about two days later I was advised to return it to the local store for replacement. The Toshiba we purchased is still at our Beach house working like a champ. We replaced the Visio with another Toshiba, needless to say we purchased an extended warranty.

I have found that skipping the GSP for high-cost items that could break or stop working appropriately is a mistake. If you're getting a cheap item that you will never touch and will almost definitely work for its lifecycle, then fine. But, if it is expensive, electronic, and requires physical manipulation, get the protection. It IS one of those items where you ONLY get a benefit when something wrong happens, but same with auto insurance and dental coverage. If you also drive without insurance and refuse to have medical or dental because "I often don't need those coverages" then obviously this review isn't for you.

Most people say that the protection programs are worthless. My wife loves her Cuisinart coffee maker. I brought one from Best buy and it died after about a year. I had to replaced it and it cost me $100. When I purchased the second unit, I mentioned to the cashier that the previous unit died and she suggested the protection plan. I was skeptical but I purchased it. The second Cuisinart unit died before the protection plan expired so I returned it to Best Buy and was provided a new coffee maker on the spot with no hassle and not out of pocket cost. I was even allowed to purchase another protection plan.

There are very few things that I will buy an extended warranty for. But at Best Buy, I buy extended warranties on my gaming headsets and controllers. Gaming headsets can get expensive if you have to buy every year. So a single headset with the extended warranty will cover you for any damage for 2 years. Since most headsets break in less than 18 months, all you would have to do is return the broken one and repurchase a new warranty. Saving hundreds of dollars over the lifespan of your gaming console.

Geek squad protection is definitely worth having. I will be getting a replacement cam for my security system after one of the cams died after power outage

Love my Instant Pot. I use my crock pots all the time, but this out did them by a mile and the flavor was outstanding. Especially for meats.

Any device that could be ruined due to an electrical power surge or moisture damage needs to be protected by buying an extended warranty. 5 stars.

I have lots of reviews on the GEEK SQUAD because I’ve purchased so many wonderful products that Best Buy has to sell. I have TV’ speaker systems, Sono bars and speakers. Wall mount installations in several rooms. I enjoy the team when they come for there appointments because they are so well mannered and knowledgeable about the products and do such a great job with all there installations. CLEANUP is so important that when they leave your house is clean again.

Absolutely the perfect piece of equipment. Works great, priced right, great customer service from the manufacturer if needed. AAA+++!!!!

Best decision was to purchase Geek Squad protection on our chrome book, with our Child using it too. We have had to have it serviced twice. First the cord broke when our child drop the chrome book on the carpeted floor. Bought a new cord and it charged for a little while and then didn’t work. Geek Squad has to repair by replacing something internal. The the second problem, somehow our child shattered the screen. It is currently being fixed. This is all under the Geek Protection. Thankfully! And it has paid off.

Back in 2011, I purchased a 24 inch Insignia TV and I had it for almost 2 years when it died. The motherboard inside my TV fried only 2 weeks before my Geek Squad product replacement warranty ran out. The Geek Squad at Best Buy replaced the motherboard in my TV and it didn't cost me anything!! They covered all the cost for it. I was so impressed that now I make sure to get the product replacement for other products that I purchases. It's the BEST!!! :~)

Roger, my agent, came to our house and synced our 3 computers, 2 printers, and our wifi meshing system. He was very friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, efficient, patient with us, and educated us on the use of these items. He worked quickly and had everything running smoothly in about 1.5 hours. The cost of the service was very reasonable. In the end we wondered why we spent so much time without success and encountered so much stress when we should have had Roger come to work with these items in the beginning.

I always purchase a protection plan on my devices, and since I buy my devices from Best Buy, I already know that they stand behind their protection and replacement plans. After owning my Netgear Router for several years, it decided to go out. Fortunately, I had the Geek Squad protection plan. I took it to Best Buy, and they took it back immediately, and replaced it immediately with another of its kind. I love this router. Most of all, Best Buy always stands behind their word.

We have really enjoyed this device so far. I have used it for coffee, tea and hot chocolate a lot. It works great.

Bought this to protect my Arlo camera system and haven't had any issues... but the 5 stars are for the cost. Affordable.
