    Purchase Plan at the Same Time You Make an Order

    If you are thinking about the Geek Squad Product Replacement Plan, purchase it when you order, otherwise after the product is delivered, you have to bring it back into the store to have it inspected. I recently ordered an item. Everything is fine. After it was delivered, I decided to get the Geek Squad Replacement Plan. During COVID-19, I do not want to go into any store, so I am not able to buy the Plan over the phone, only three days after delivery. I called Best Buy customer service. They were very polite, but no exceptions.

    A safe-guard that is secure

    I know from experience that external hard drives are faulty. I also knew that if my product (a hard drive) got damaged, all my files would be lost. I feel way more secure with the geek-squad replacement! Would recommend as a safety precaution

    Best Buy Geek Warranty is a Scam

    In a straightforward statement, "The two year Geek warranty is a waste of money and time. I have always gotten a warranty for my electronic devices purchased at Bestbuy and up until this last week, I never thought it would be an issue. I have always used a bluetooth device made by LG since the device came out. Since 2012, I loved my bluetooth headset by LG and the first pair was absolutely fantastic! I kept the same pair for almost 3 years until it malfunction so I had to purchase another pair from Bestbuy. I was offered a two year warranty and whenever I would have to get a exchange, I had no problem. For some strange reason, LG products in reference to the LG bluetooths, the bluetooth has not been the same. LG has made newer versions but the quality has been HORRIBLE!!! I purchased my last LG headset with the two year warranty in less than 8 months ago when the, headset started to fall apart. I even had started to have issues almost two days in to using my headset because p people couldn't hear me when I talked to them. I finally went into a store in Dallas of HWY 75 . This location is the WORST I have ever experienced with Bestbuy costumer service. When I went to exchange my LG set that costed $129.00 , I was told that (1l) the warranty is no longer being offered, provided, or honored and although I had purchased my warranty last year for this headset, Bestbuy would only honor the price of the headset at the reduced price of $89.00 not including taxes. Well that is an issue because the LG bluetooths are currently priced at an higher rate that would be a out if pocket price of $23.00 instead of covering the replacement as a full exchange since I purchased a two year agreement to cover the ones that I have. (2) I was told to drive 45 minutes to an hour away to exchange the bluetooths at the original Bestbuy for the warranty to be covered without any out if pocket charges after I provided this location with verbatim what I was told on .y warranty covering the LG bluetooths headset if the same model was no longer being offered on the shelf. (2) I Since Bestbuy is refusing to honor a warranty still in place (less than two years) and being asked to pay out of pocket...then I would rather have the older model that I know has been made in a better quality and will last at least one year versus the poor quality model I have at this moment?! That wasn't an option either. Instead, I was told that the warranty is no longer offered again and too bad so sad. (3) We are now living in a world where a hands free option is required and no loger an option in various cities that surround the MetroPlex in Dallas, Texas. Driving in these areas without a hands free device, the authorities can issue a ticket and a fine of a minimum of $500.00 can be issued as a 1st warning. Needless to say, I my warranty was not honored. Prior to even coming up to the counter for my replacement, I was experiencing horrible customer service so in closing, getting that warranty to cover anything from Bestbuy isn't a good buy after all.

    For an extra $20 and a guaranteed new product if this one poops out it is totally worth the money; especially if you've got kids!
