    I don't always buy extended warranties, but it was a fairly reasonable price and I was giving the appliance as a gift. It seems like it will cover quite a few things, but hope we never have to use it,

    You may use or not this is a security blanket. I encouraged you to protect some item just in case a mishap especially for gifts to family
