    2 year protection plan

    I brought a headset for the Play Station 4 with the 2 year Geek Squad Product replacement. 3 1/2 months later I needed my headset fixed or replaced. Best Buy did replace my headset since I had the 2 year plan but I had to buy another 2 year plan each time I get a replacement. . The cashier advised when you get a replacement your 2 year plan is void. Ummmm I was thinking you have 2 years under the initial plan for my product to be covered. The cashier stated everytime I get a replacement my Protection plan is void and null if I want to Protect my new headset I will have to buy a new 2 year protection plan. It doesn't make sense to me. I can see after my 2 year plan is up then extend the warranty or buy a new item.

    My item broke and they claimed for 4 months that it would come back in stock but after waiting I decided to go to the store but when going there the manager informed me I had I manufacture warranty and “could’ve gotten it replaced that way” reason I said that is because he took my device and gave me store credit and said I could not have my device back to receive the manufacturer warranty instead and then he just gave me back the purchase price of the device on a bestbuy gift card so I’d have to spend the money there even though they don’t have the device I came for

    I bought it for my son who insisted on it. Most of the time I have purchased this I always had a problem with the geek squad saying that particular damage is not covered.

    haven't used the protection yet when I went in the need to send off to review whats wrong then they would fix it

    Purchased for out TV. We were told any accidental would be covered. When we accidentally hit the screen and it stopped working and we called they said it wasn’t covered. The man told me I could get refunded on the warranty we purchased since our tv stopped working and it wasn’t covered. He transferred me and nobody knew what he was talking about. We dealt with it four about a month. We finally gave up. Geek squad is a joke now. It used to be so much better when it first started out

    Be sure to quadruple check that you canceled their services. Every year I’ve had to cancel after I’ve been charged. 2019 they won’t get me again. I’ll be watching my calendar

    Price increases make it not worth it

    Used to purchase for certain things, but price increases make this a silly purchase. Better to just save money. Better yet, use a credit card that offers an extended warranty.

    This product does not state upfront that it requires you to visit a store in order to use it. I live HOURS from the nearest BestBuy which is why I ordered online to begin with, and they refuse to let me mail it in (even if I pay postage both ways) for repair. It will cost more than the cost of the product AND the plan in order to get my game controller repaired. Absolutely stupid! I was a fool for purchasing from BestBuy.

    Used to be a good purchase, but price increases have made it too expensive. Look elsewhere for warranty coverage. Some credit cards offer extended warranty.
