    Support/ Scheduling Repairs

    I am very displease with the service and process of how Geek Squad protection plan is handling a simple task to schedule a repair for my AC. I called Aug. 31st and was on hold for a very long time, so I decided to go online and speak with someone through the chat. James is the agent, I spoke to that day and scheduled for Sept 2nd @ 7am for the repair. The day of Sept 2nd we waited till 8am and no show. I called via phone line and again… waiting and waiting to speak with someone and nothing.  Again, I went online and Bradley the 2nd agent, I spoke to regarding my issue and according to him I had no scheduled appointment. After, speaking to him for a while, he says that to schedule an appointment I have to call via phone! Why, didn’t the 1st agent I spoke to, let me know of this! So, we called again and supposedly there’s no appointments available now around my zip code! So this agent says, that they will call me to schedule an appointment.  Guess, what I receive through email? Says that I canceled the 1st appointment order #71000802, which I did not and a 2nd email stating that my 2nd appointment order #71001139 is no longer scheduled!! Can someone please, just help me out and have someone come out to fix my AC!!

    It's hit and miss with Geek Squad. Some are very helpful, and sometimes when I call in for help they do much to help.

    Was told that I had to use manufacturer warranty first. Then why does sales slip state 2025?

    What a bunch of crap. Purchased an air conditioner on 5/23/21. Now it makes a loud racket when running. Tried to get service. The person I did get ahold of was scheduling an appointment had me on hold for a good 20 minutes. He never got back on line. Last purchase at Best Buy and I plan on telling everyone I meet their service sucks.

    This 2 Year Standard Geek Squad Protection is very misleading. It's really for 1 year. I purchased this for my GE AC unit, thinking that it would cover me after the 1 year warranty manufacturer, only to find out from Best Buy that this offer had expired since the 2 year starts on the day of AC purchase. This is not what they advertise and it is a scam.

    If i could give this zero stars, I would. The window kit was missing and Best Buy and Frididare were no help whatsoever. It's loud, it doesn't keep the room cool - useless. Now i can't even return it and it hasn't even been a month. I am absolutely disgusted with this product and the lack of service that i paid for and never got.

    Tech started to argue with me because he heard my dogs at door and yelled put them away or I’m not coming in. He had just rang the doorbell! Give me a minute please! Then he said the mounting rack was missing a piece when it didn’t. Didn’t mount the cables on the wall.

    Portable A/C

    Doesn't do near the square footage it says, our home A/C went out for the 2nd time tis year, so I purchased this hoping to cool the living room, about 400 sq. ft., wouldn't cool it down in 2 days. put it in the Mater Bedroom and its like a freezer in there but only about 200 square ft.

    The unit we were protecting went on the fritz two days after this plan expired and Best Buy was neither capable of, nor interested in making good. Expired is expired, regardless of circumstances. "We're very sorry, sir." Doesn't actually cut it, imo. Either a company supports their customers or the don't. In this case, BB, chose to let the "system" dictate customer service. Very poor choice, and major hit to the brand, BB.

    Use someone else besides the geek squad. They have a bad attitude, managers never call back and they put you in these automated phone cues forever.
