    I haven’t needed to use the Geek Squad service yet, but it’s great knowing I have the warranty if something goes wrong. It gives me peace of mind, and the setup process for coverage was easy and clear.

    When ever i make a purchase i use geek squad and thier warranty on every purchase for my electronic. Knowing that if anything happens im covered gives me peace of mind. Always recommend getting this to save on repairs. And the service is top notch

    Warranties warranties warranties are they with it??? I can only go by my most recent personal experience and I have to say ABSOLUTELY. We owned a 2017 LG LED 4K HDR tv. We have been having an issue with it for the past year and a half and we honestly didn’t remember if we bought the 3 or 5 year warranty. After checking with Best Buy we indeed had warranty until 2022. Our TVs HDMI 1 port stopped working, the Ethernet port stopped working and every time we turned the TV back on all of our settings would be reset. Annoying. Also we could see faint vertical banding when the camera would move horizontally. Especially in the sky. Looked like vertical smudges. Geek squad came over and evaluated the TV. At first I couldn’t reproduce the banding issue but all of the other issues pointed to a module they said they would order and when it arrived they would come back and install it and it should fix all the issues. They said they would evaluate the banding when they returned. I found some content that showed the banding when they came back and they didn’t even bother opening the box of the part they ordered. They went ahead and deemed my TVs LCD defective and offered me a replacement. We chose a new Sony 950H as the replacement and we couldn’t be happier. WAAAAAAYYY Better TV than what we had. Being we had a great experience with Best Buy’s warranty. We purchased another 5 year warranty for this replacement. Thanks Best Buy. That was great customer service.

    Excellent protection plan. I usually don't purchase extra protection plans. Since this purchase was an open box, I was mainly concerned with the remote having many sctatches on the solar charging panel of the remote. A new remote cost more than the protection plan. I am very pleased with Geek Squad coverage.

    I have purchased this protection plan for all of my televisions and they have all been worth the money. Just had a Samsung 4K TV panel start going only to find out that they don't make it anymore or cannot replace it. Received full value of the original TV and used it to purchase a new one. Granted, benefited BestBuy with a more expensive purchase, but the coverage made the out of pocket much easier. Could have gotten the same TV, but why? Went to 8K since it was affordable with my money from the extended warranty claim. Bottom line, always purchase this for your high end items and for other things as well (headphones I also have coverage on and my youngest was able to replace when a chip in the headset went bad after 8 months). Customer service during the replacement was stellar, and honestly I don't mind paying for peace of mind. Knowing Best Buy will take care of my item if I have issues takes one less worry off of my mind in these days. Highly recommend.

    5yr Protection Pays Off

    Although the 5 year Geek Squad Protection Plan is up front pricey, it delivers as promised. I've replaced 2 TV's due to screen failure and have received full credit towards a replacement. The exchange doesn't occur overnight, but it happens.

    Great service. Had an extended warranty for my tv and had to use it. The process was easy to take care of the problem. They replaced my old tv and installed the new one . They took away the old tv, cleaned up after installing the new tv and were very professional . I would strongly recommend purchasing an extended warranty. I was very happy with the process and the prompt service.

    If you can, I recommend getting Geek Squad protection on electronics such as tv's. A few years ago, I purchased a smart tv for my son and had it for about a year before it completely went kaputt. It always had issues toggling properly through the apps and would sometimes take ten minutes switching from one app to the other. Luckily, I did purchase Geek Squad protection and was able to get another tv since there was no way of fixing that one. We went with a different brand and have had no issues since.
